In my specific case, having no problems with the UHD3000 and everything works perfectly, would it make sense to buy the UHD8000? I wouldn't want to spend more than 1000 euros and then not notice any difference in video quality

    Can I post this….? UHD8000 :p

    https://post.m.smzdm.com/p/ag5xzkxw/

“With the support of high-performance processors, Zidoo has added an "AI super resolution" and "AI image quality enhancement function"

To put it simply, the AI image quality enhancement function uses big data analysis and optimisation algorithms, relying on the hardware NPU neural network processor to adjust the pictures colour frame by frame for different content scenes, improve the contrast, sharpness, and reduce noise.

As the name suggests, AI super-resolution also uses deep learning of big data to achieve intelligent pixel filling, frame interpolation and other optimizations to improve the clarity and smoothness of online videos and streaming media”

Thanks for posting! I really like the simultaneous dual language subtitle functionality, always thought that could be really cool if someone implemented that, but have never seen it before.

I am sorry that there is no more ZDMC, maybe it is worth changing.
As for the DV profiles I mentioned earlier is there any news known?
    Thanks

It is a shame that zdmc is not updated but I understand that on the new z9x 8k you can install the zdmc apk and continue using it, on the z9x zdmc works perfectly for me

This is a good alternative, although then it is not known whether it will be updated anymore.

That's a real shame if ZDMC is no longer being updated. If I were to install the ZDMC 20.2 apk on the Z9X 8K, would it at least work? Would it give me the Kodi interface/library that I like, while also playing everything in the awesome Zidoo video player (with no loss in picture quality)?

I would have to try it, I think it will work, I even hope that the official version of Kodi Omega works correctly, Kodi has great compatibility with Amlogic processors

ZDMC will probably work. It drives me nuts how watched items won't automatically be marked as watched though

For me it does show the finished episodes and the unfinished ones to continue where it left off, it's strange

Having been in business for some time now, sorry to say, that verbiage could have been lifted from any LG OLED TV marking material post 2021.....just saying.

My LG has very good sub 4k res handling, which is why I send native res and framerate and have dialied in my set to handle the picture the way I want.

I've spent sooo much money over the years "chasing" the "best lastest thing".

Case in point, Audio wise, lets use (yamaha parametric YPAO/DIRAC Live/some other crap) to totally flatten the "curve" and suck out what little plesause is left in life, because, hey, the "reviews" said it's great right?

    There's always "the next BEST thing @ ®,™, ©"....

Rant over, now I'm off to take my meds. :p

I think you misunderstood my implied sarcasm of AI’s self generated AI egotism! :D

I currently have the Eversolo DMP-A6ME that I use for music. It currently does NOT support audio-only object formats such as Atmos, Auro-3d and MPEG-H. I am hoping that since the UHD8000 supports video formats, it will ALSO support these MUSIC-ONLY object formats. Will it?

Yes, you were too quick. Al
I don't think it is different from previous generations. Just get me some samples and I will try it for you. You may PM me for a link to download.
They do work with BD concert albums for sure. My AMP supports all formats even AURO-3D.

Is it now possible to replace the Eversolo A6 with one of these boxes and get the same functionality? Assuming that im not wedded to the pretty touchscreen used on the A6.

    Interesting article

Hopefully the AI stuff mentioned is optional! The screen shot of HT shows trailer icon. Is this now working on the new boxes?!

    Also interesting is

" Zidoo is the first to support the CloudDrive cloud disk mounting function. Thousands of TB of Blu-ray original movies can be transferred in one second and can be played directly online (map the network drive and use it like a local hard drive). 4K Blu-ray original discs can also be played smoothly on Zidoo UHD8000."

    and

"After more than a week of intensive testing, I found almost no functional defects or bugs in the UHD8000. It can be said that this is a very mature 8K Blu-ray + HiFi player."

Yes - originally the AI stuff was on by default and hidden away in developer settings as it is on certain other AML boxes (rhymes with loon).

I got the devs to expose it in the setup menu and disable it all by default.

Didn't know about the cloud drive stuff though...

The only change to trailers is I got them to play full screen now - so much nicer than the window especially given the quality of trailer files these days. Still have the preview window in the top right if you want it of course.

And that guy's not on the latest firmware either if he'd tested for a week, so that's quite an endorsement :)

Roon Ready support is interesting to me too due to box consolidation.

That number 1 is great news. Hope that fix comes down to current zidoo hardware line.

I was hoping to get an official response from Markswift2003 about whether or not the Z9X 8K will have two USB 3.0 ports so that I can connect two external hard drives at full speed. From what I can see, the Z9X had two USB 3.0 ports but the Z9X Pro only has one USB 3.0 port for some reason.

I'd also like to know if I can connect an Xbox controller via Bluetooth to use for navigating menus, because I find it much more comfortable than using a remote.
