I’ll put this question out there again - I’ll be switching to my new Z3000Pro as soon as it arrives! (Pre-ordered). What will be the procedure to transfer all my Z1000Pro settings/setup to the new player so I don’t have to go through re-matching again? All my files are on a Synology NAS.

Mark has answered this before already. **Probably the easiest way is to export artwork and NFOs from the old box and rescrape on the new one using art and NFO precedence. That way the library and artwork will be structured exactly the same.***

Regarding Support for {\an8} SRT subtitle tag and older model firmware. @Markswift2003 surely this should be the case? If it won't shift the subtitles the least they could do is hide them(the tag) for older models. People have been begging for this for ages. Could you please try bring this to the teams attention. Subtitle users have been begging for this since September 2022. http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/feature-request-support-an8-srt-subtitle-tag.94484/

Also when you say zidoo media player is exposed , does that mean kodi with zidoo media player with stream supports? (real debrid)

If this is the only change, can you understand that the loading time is still between 20 and 60 seconds? I know you are using local trailers and this question does not concern you,
maybe you can still answer the question if the online trailers are playing properly again after set 3 seconds.
    Thank you

I think the Zidoo devs are underestimating this functionality. I for one will not buying anything as long this (and the ones reported here: http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?threads/beta-version-v1-0-90-for-z9x-pro-release.98613/#post-226413) is not fixed.

Would be interesting to see a comparison between Zidoo 8K and Dune HD Pro One 8K Plus:

    1. Speedtest with google chrome
    2. support of {\an8} SRT subtitle tag
    3. support for playing dutch internal subtitle
    4. choppy/jerky playback

Been glegging around and came across McBluna's Comparison Sheet: - https://www.mcbluna.net/wp/zidoo-player-specification-comparison-sheet/

My technical knowledge isn't as great as many others on here but am alway inquisitive. As I've said already I have Pre-Ordered a UHD8000 and notice from the above table it has "USB-DAC-IN" capability. Does this mean I can plug in my Eversolo DAC-Z8 and use this instead of the inbuilt DAC? If this is the case then I'm bound to ask say @Nice Monkey how do both DACs compare?

I think that USB Audio In is only used to receive the digital audio stream from an external source,
to primarily use the UHD8000's internal DAC.
If you want to primarily use the DAC of your Eversolo, you will have to output the digital audio stream from
the UHD8000 via RCA coaxial, or Toslink (optical).

I asked earlier is it worth upgrading from a Zidoo Z2000 Pro to Zidoo Z30 Pro?

It doesn't say "USB Audio In" - it says "USB-DAC-In"

Yes, I know what is written on the comparison table, but the print on the back of the UHD8000 says "USB Audio in",
and unfortunately the UHD8000 offical's manual gives unclear information :
in one place the USB is presented as an input, and in another it is said that it can behave as an output...

    So if anyone can clarify?

On Spec / Software / Newer Harder etc it looks better Yes
But if you want real world testing by users to give you a deffinitive difference you will have to wait & see next week once out in the real world & Views .

Depends how much you want a new toy?

Seriously if you are not sure maybe best to wait until people actually get them in the next few weeks and you should get a better idea.

Thanks for the explanation. Where did you find the UHD8000's manual?

The UHD8000 should have USB audio output like the UHD3000, so you can connect an external DAC and use the UHD8000 as signal transport only

Yes I know that - it is what's meant as USB-DAC-IN that's confusing me. Maybe you can clarify as @Akhnaten suggested in his above post?

While searching for information about the player online, I found site that linked the user manual.
I saved the PDF, but not the site URL, because I think the rest of the page should not contain any
    other new information.
So I don't remember what site it was on...

USB dac in is used to use only the internal DAC of the UHD8000, using an external source for signal transport such as a mini PC or a Raspberry, etc...etc...In short, you use the DAC of the UHD8000 as if it was an external DAC, is that clear? To use the USB audio out port, the UHD8000 is used only as a transport to an external DAC. The only negative is that to do this, you have to sacrifice a USB port where you connect an external hard drive. The rear USB ports of the UHD8000 have dual functionality, both for connecting external hard drives and for sending an audio signal to an external DAC
