    I read this, too.
    But what about the "watched" status. I do not want to loose this information when migrating from Z9X to Z9X 8K.
    Any ideas or knowledge?

    Please, could you confirm if Optical drive will be supported (via SATA or USB), just like the Zidoo Realtek players? I currently have the Z10 PRO and would be definitively upgrading to this new series, if this support is confirmed.

    Built-in HDD bay (SATA 3.5), supports loading 16TB large capacity SATA hard drive; also supports external CD-Rom to play original CDs.

    In that case you'll have to use the backup method.

    So a backup of HT5 done on current range can be used to restore HT5 library on new 8K models?

    Yes - I tried last week and a backup of HT4 worked on HT5.

    Years ago there was always an issue of backups from one version not working on the next but I guess that's fixed and the database structure is the same.

    Must admit I haven't used backup in earnest for at least a couple of years - I prefer NFO, but then I don't bother with keeping track of watched status.

    Is HT5 still working with the KODI nfo format?

    @DELUCAS
    Sorry but we are intelligent when we can compare products with similar characteristics and allow the Zidoo to evolve.

    I own a Z20 pro.

    All Zidoo media players can do USB Output via any USB Host port to an External DAC and the players with a DAC integrated all have also an USB DAC Input port (it is a USB2 Slave physical connector) which directs USB Output of another player to the Internal DAC. You can even wire them outside together by setting the Music player to USB Output and at the same time configuring the Internal DAC to USB input. This allows e.g. to interconnect via that digital path an external DSP doing DIRAC or other room correction. Just great isn't it.

    Discussed and tried here with Eversolo and did it before myself using my own USB3000.

    @rozel
    For the second question: I do rate the DAC-Z8 a little bit higher than the one used by UHD8000 regarding design/components. It is a pity it does not use the Accusilicon femto clocks. The difference will be small for sure if noticeable at all.
