I recently upgraded my setup to a lovely UHD800 and moved my Z20 PRO 4K to the den, hoping to watch movies from it. However, it just doesn’t work.

I added it to the SAMBA server and updated sources so it sees the poster wall, but freezes when you try to watch anything. I have 1gig Wi-Fi in a small place the that’s not the issue.

It is connected by ethernet via my new router to my TV and computer. The connection to the TV is still working just fine, but I cannot access the HD in my Zidoo anymore from my computer since I changed routers.

The device appears in Windows Explorer under 'Network' under 'Media Peripherals', however when I type \\192.168.1.128 in the address bar of windows file explorer, I get a 'cannot access'...

For some reason, HT seems to have stopped scanning some sources, for example I have deleted some files in the last days, but they remain here in the list. Previously when I started it, I could see it doing a refresh, it showed a scanning message at the bottom of the screen, and removed automatically posters for deleted files etc... It just doesn't do it anymore and I've not found a way to force it to rescan.
I was in version 5.059, I've just upgraded to 5.0.68, but this did not fix...

I have very annoying issues here too with a newly acquired (old stock) UHD-5000 (as I desperately needed one with the Realtek 1619BPD chip for 3D MVC) connecting thru SMB protocol to my Ubiquiti UNAS PRO shared drives.

UHD 5000 firmware installed is v1.0.95 (non-beta), UNAS Pro is running with Drive 4.3.6 and UniFi OS 5.1.19 as of July 2026.

HomeTheater Version 4.3.52 and 5.0.68 (with both it won't work)

Metadata scraped with tinyMediaManager, including IMDb ratings but they will only be displayed for movies, not for tv show episodes. Is there any way to make this work for tv shows as well? I'm considering purchasing a Z20 Pro

I have bunch of blurays, including a large number of Bluray Audio discs I have stored on my NAS in BDMV format.

Can anyone give me their experiences with the Z20 Pro and playing these bluray folders with menus, and also passthrough of Dolby Atmos via a AVR? Most of the Bluray Audio files are Dolby Atmos, and the main reason for this purchase.
