This prob will only work for a few people, but to stop the freezes whenever a video would start, I had to set Optical to Auto (even though I have no optical cord attached) it fixed the freezes I would get with every video I tried to play. I know it does not make a lot of sense but I have fiddled with it enough to know that it's the cause of my problem cause switching it back to off causes it to freeze on every video I try to play. just shows how messed up their boxes are when the setting for the optical that's not being used, is causing issues.
I wanted to try changing these settings for an experiment, but I didn’t find such an item for an optical parameter in the menu
Does the freezing only happen on 4k videos or the type of files? I currently own the Z20 PRO & have a Denon receiver with my 1080 plasma TV. I have never had any problems with freezing & all of my video files are mkv.
no! freezing happens with all content, 4k, 1080p, Dolby Vision. HDR.MKV, WEB-DL. it all freezes with the optical option set to off
I also got freezing at the beginning of movie(4K, 1080P MKV,M2TS...) sometimes. In case of my UHD 5000(FW 1.0.86), there are 3 kinds of option in SPDIF. LPCM 2 channel, RAW, OFF. which one do I have to select to fix the freezing problem? (My HDMI Audio option sets to RAW)
Hello, I have a Z2000pro in version 1.0.95, before I didn't have any problems but for a few weeks now (and even on the old version), when I'm watching a film the picture freezes at a certain point in the film, whereas for other people the film plays fine. I've tried selecting the RAW option but the image still freezes.
It still doesn't work In the Audio menu : HDMI output > RAW SPDIF output > OFF Dwnmix Audio HD > ON When the movie freezes and I return to the home page, the timeline of the movie is still displayed on the player screen instead of the time... I'm completely baffled
My original fix on here stated clearly that I could only play movies properly if it was not on "off" setting
