Hi Sledgehamma. He means probably this problem. I have the same with the X9S: http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?thr...or-zidoo-z9s-release.79166/page-5#post-129158 Post #95 This problem is only with Intern integrated srt subtitles. HTML tags (for internal (integrated) srt subtitles) problem on the X9S. Like: Text> or Text/ (The new update add sometimes / or > at the end of the last line after the last word.) Also There is sometimes an extra letter after the last word like: TextM TextW (These letters are not in the srt subtitle file) http://i.imgur.com/eKzt4cX http://imgur.com/XcGRIJL http://imgur.com/REyWcTd http://imgur.com/YKGPbUN http://imgur.com/gwngebH Hope this is fixed with the new Z9X
Can you please send a sample? I haven’t seen the issue but I mostly use PGS. Just tested some SRT subs and no extra characters.
The Zidoo Z9X remote control clashes with my TV (some buttons will activate the TV functions), and vice versa. Is there a way to disable the Zidoo IR software? I have tried blocking the IR window but sometimes it still able to detect the remote control signal. Any suggestions would be welcomed...
Personally I'd whip the bottom off and desolder the IR photodiode, but equally easy would be to slip a piece of card between the diode and the front window. Also - check inside the TVs remote control battery compartment - some manufacturers have an A/B selector switch for just such issues.
I have a problem with my Z9X, it does not detect my TV as a 4K TV, only 1080p. The 4K TV is detected as 4K by my Dell laptop. How do I report the EDID bug? Does Zidoo staff look at this forum? Link to faulty EDID: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DJkGyfKMr4Ow_B7FknEXZdxv1V0Nvdnb/view?usp=sharing

That's a super weird EDID for a 4K TV - it has no CEA extension which among other things defines the VICs available and also defines 4:2:0 support, HDR etc. I'm not surprised the Zidoo struggles with it. It looks more like a monitor EDID than a TV one. I just tried it and sure enough the Z9X only presents 1080p60. You can set the Z9X to ignore EDID by activating "Ignore EDID" like this: 1. Goto Quick Settings/Other/About/Advanced Settings 2. Goto System 3. Goto Realtek Developer Options 4. Switch "Ignoring HDMI EDID" to <on> Exit Quick Settings and restart it and you'll see all resolutions available.
I had Z9S and X9S side by side at some point for testing. Small piece of black electrical tape worked great for me. The IR sensor is on right side of clock display. I would move the tape from one to another to operate each one from the same remote. The tape was easy to remove without glue stains and blocked the sensor 100% every time.
You can use your old power z10 power supply is 3.0 Amp if your concerned . If you have previous model .
Mine came with a UK and EU adapter - but mine came from Zidoo, so check with Simon at Futeko what they ship with.
