Can you tell if ZDMC is using the same internal Zidoo video player that HT5 uses?

I tested ZDMC and the internal Zidoo player does not work. Works OK with ZDMC (Kodi) player.

    Ah, that's a shame. :(
Thanks for letting us know, it looks like I'll have to stick with HT5.

When you launch a movie from ZDMC does the movie play from Zidoo's external player?

No, It launch the ZDMC (Kodi) internal player.

ZDMC. Via the context menu (long press on the OK key) on the video file, the choice "Play with?" no longer appears. I had this choice on my Z20 pro with ZDMC.

I just got my Z9X 8K and everything about it is awesome, but I'm having one major issue with TrueHD audio on certain Blu-ray files. On both "Cars" and "Avatar: The Way of Water" I'm hearing lots of audio cutouts, it's basically unwatchable. Is the Zidoo team aware of this issue?

I had a similar issue with Kodi on my Nvidia Shield, until very recently when Kodi solved it with a MAT packer rework. I'm also wodering, if ZDMC just uses the Kodi player anyways, is there any reason not to just install the latest version on Kodi (which has this audio issue fixed)?

A bit more info would be helpful

    Are these 1080p/UHD?
    MKV or full bluray
    Is it TrueHD with/without Atmos?

If its an MKV maybe upload a short 2 minute clip, that shows the issue, to somewhere like Mega so others can test on their setup ups.

correct me if I'm wrong, but does Zidoo still use 32 bit OS? if so, why? will it even utilize the 6GB RAM if they don't use 64 bit OS.

Has anyone here with windows 11 pro managed to see zidoo samba with smb 2/3? I cant for the life of me see zidoo, same thing with z9X and z9x 8k. I can see it if I enable SMB 1 but its old and slow. I use usb drive not nas. Any help please?

EDIT: Solved. For anyone with the same problem, I enabled workstation service and I also used these two commands in cmd prompt:
    sc.exe config lanmanworkstation depend= bowser/mrxsmb20/nsi
    sc.exe config mrxsmb10 start= disabled

    Odd thats twice now
Power up Av Receiver & Zidoo powers on !
Monitor not powered on as is off

Cec is off as i never ever use it or on Av Receiver or Zidoo

my Z10 Pro never ever done that before .

is thenew Zidoo motherboard got something new in say the hdmi 2.1 port that is causing it or a bug ?

Not moaning as saves me grabbing the remote to power it on as my Bluetooth remote cant do it .

There has always been some issue with software control of CEC in Android - I've never had issue but I know others have.

I think it can also be something to do with HDMI power but not sure.

If it becomes a pain, get one of these - it physically disconnects pin 13 to disable CEC in hardware.

    Lindy CEC remover

    Not a pain

Will monitor if always happens but it just saves me grabbing the Zidoo remote to power it on.
Just found it odd when i never enable Cec .

maybe my Yamaha is sending a command to my hdmi input i selected ?

a bonus but i imagine a firmware update will disable it Lol ;)

as said my Z10 Pro never ever happens and thats the only thing ive changed in and no other settings have changed
Hell my monitor is 15 years old & its never ever heard of cec . Ha ha

Delay subtitles with button up or down, not working on Z9X 8k.

When I set my new box up CEC was on by default. Turned it off straight away. I found that an earlier Zidoo box played havoc with my AVR (switching inputs) even with it on standby. I got a CEC less adaptor and never looed back.

As mentioned at moment not an issue
As majority of time my Zidoo normally gets used when i power on my set up

just first time ive ever notice my Zidoo’s powering on in all the years ive owned one.

and cec has never been enabled ever.

see it does again tomoz if so i wont need my Zidoo Remote ever . ;)

CEC is the work of the devil and should never be used.
