Futeko just added first placeholder for one of the new models! Exciting times.

 

It got an extra 2nd HDMI port for HDMI DSD/Audio output only. This is coupled to a pair of DOH (DSD over HDMI) chips.
It is a special motherboard anyway as it has an extra interface for the DAC module plus ports.

 

Looks intriguing, but I'm not sure how much improvement a Z3000 would be over my Z2000 using it with my JVC NP5 projector.

This is a restriction one needs to accept and deal with. It is the only serious player limitation I am aware of.

See my reply #49. No not a lie. It is supported with some minor HW limitations being invisible during normal viewing. The same applies to these boxes.

See the link above. APP's work as they do on a Smart Phone. You primarily use the touch controlled Remote Controller APP (Android or Apple) and secondary the remote control. I don't know if the bundled remote has a microphone. Mark can answer that part.

Will these upcoming players come with voice search commands option(in-built microphone in remote) for better and quick search for YT and other streaming app? Also will there be a hovering remote cursor like LG WebOS TV for faster selection of movies or setting options?

All right i get it though i am not talking about native dsd through hdmi but dsd to pcm. that works with the 1619dr products, work in stereo with the 1619bdp products and as for mch it is firmware dependent.

I'm interested in the new Z9X 8K, but I have a few questions:
- Will it have at least two USB 3.0 ports? I need to connect two external hard drives, and USB 2.0 isn't fast enough to play high bitrate files.
- I prefer the interface and library management of Kodi but I want it to use the Zidoo video player, is that what ZDMC does?

 

DSD => PCM is included for sure.

- For sure it again has 2x USB3 but for me USB2 also works with any video rate (4K DV Atmos). Also prefer using USB3 for HDD connection use a 10-slot Docking Station with it.
- Forget about ZDMC (from the past) and KODI. This is far better.
