Thought so too during a long time. Learned a few years ago how important crystal quality is and that DAC's are clocked by the input port not the crystal on the box where the DAC resides.
Also valid to my surprise for digital inputs via HDMI.

    Documented and discussed here.

No idea for the RTD1619BPD & AML S928X Zidoo players but RTD1619DR and earlier motherboards used a lower quality crystal than equivalent Dune players. The entry level Dune players sounded more or less identical to my OPPO via HDMI being better using the same AMP.
Only the Neo X and Neo Alpha used also quality crystals on their RTD1619DR based motherboards. Has nothing to do with those Accusilicon crystals used on the DAC modules as those are not used for HDMI.
The DOH (DSD over HDMI) chips used on a 2nd HDMI DSD/Audio only port for Eversolo /Zidoo players does not use a different clock source but yes reduces its jitter. The difference less clear to hear but does not harm for sure.

Think he's talking about futeko, when they first had the Z9X 8K they had a pricing error the first day, they corrected it but are honoring the old price
for people that pre-ordered that day.

My god, the ceiling has fallen, Zidoo is pay walling 3D BD, mkv, frame packing to the UHD8000. This is a terrible decision. Is there something different about the hardware in the UHD8000 that would prohibit the lower models from doing 3D???

    This is completely false!
The missing 3D support (both devices!) is due to the SoC and not a direct decision by Zidoo!

I didn't know the reason for the sound difference, but thank you for providing a scientific explanation.

I couldn't resist completing this comparison:

010110100011000110001110 when using a switching power supply

010110100011000110001110 when using the linear power supply

    :)

If the bitstream is delivered via HDMI on one device in 1sec. and at another device in 2sec. it will sound different. Correct timing, tolerance of the timing reference is also important as the buffering and synchronicity of the transmission.

    @Nice Monkey
So according to what you say, using the HDMI port towards an AV receiver or the USB output towards an external DAC, you would be able to perceive and hear audio differences between a 3000 and a 5000 and understand which reproduces better in audio terms while watching a concert live, film, DSD and flac?

Hello everyone, something that has not been clear to me, if I connect a linear power supply, will I get an audio and video improvement?
    thank you

    Dune Real Vision 4K Plus = RTD1619DR
    Z9X Pro = RTD1619BPD

    That is a difference!

Yes, that may well be because the current is free from interference!

"A32 has excellent performance, ultra-low noise TL431+ high-power transistor discrete voltage regulator circuit, and high-speed low-resistance array capacitor layout.

It adopts 3-Level filtering, first-level EMI, second-level capacitor array, and third-level CLC to reduce the output ripple to the lower limit of the instrument test.

This linear power supply is used to upgrade various audio equipment, digital equipment, NAS hard disk box, mobile hard disk box, various CAS, wireless router, optical fiber module, set-top box, MAC mini, PC HiFi, Thinkpad HP Asus and other portable computers."

    Hi,
The answer is yes. But it remains up to you to evaluate whether the level of improvement you obtain is significant enough for you to justify the expense, or not.
