It's pretty clear that Mark has an overall liking for Zidoo models over other brands. However in my opinion, and I've been on these and other forums for years, he is pretty objective in his views and will call out rubbish where he sees it - even if it is Zidoo.

That's the main reason I'm quietly optimistic on the new boxes due to his heavy involvement over the last two years.

We shall see pretty soon!

 

There is a thin line between promoting, disliking , fanboyism & commercial activities. I like to keep things clear for myself on that part on especially *user* forums when i discuss any type of gear.
Therefore i asked, since me think one could be clear about such.

This forum is a plain single branded forum, so no comment on any Zidoo pr activity what so ever here.

 

I find bugs on playback or features missing, I post it here, Mark tests it and sends bug report to Zidoo and things gets hopefully fixed (atmos choppy playback in january 2024 is one example of a fix on z9x pro).

We are lucky to have that here and I, for one, appreciate Mark’s time in these forums especially since he sounds like a perfectionnist like I am on these boxes capabilities.

The goal is to make the product better and get answers to questions here. He tests Zidoo boxes for them, I doubt it’s for free but that does not matter as long as he helps us get better boxes in the end. If it does matter for you then fine you are allowed to ask.

 

I think the devs would tell you I'm a pain in the arse at times - but hell, we get a lot sorted that way

Not my point. But i do wish y'all good luck with this new socket. It's working great ( according to *users* using this socket with other brands) , and i wish y'all even more luck with Zidoo support. ( big grin)

Ha, I've been eagerly following this thread with a view to pre-ordering the new Z3000 Pro and also considering a G4 at some point. After reading this, I've just ordered a G4; Z3000 to follow

See what Black Friday brings on the G4 Model as i installed a G2 77 inch last year made the poster wall look awesome & Movies etc on using a z10 Pro
Be so interesting what the Z30 Pro model brings to my ageing set up.

TV is being delivered Tuesday. Will use my ageing Z2000 Pro to start with, though the temptation to preorder a Z3000 is proving difficult rn

 

That's why I will wait for a good discount. I'm in no rush, I have the Sony A80K OLED right now, it's OK but doesn't get that bright in HDR

 

Maybe purchase Z3000 later on and have another toy to play with a few weeks later on rather all at once ?

 

You're right of course; but that's far too sensible for me lol when I can have a new toy Tuesday and probably another a week or so later
