This would also be a 'very good idea, I do not know if it is possible to implement it.

    New Z9X 8K with non-detachable antennas again?

Getting them off is easy enough. Putting them back on next is a bit more of a problem. :D
It is an entry level model. Spend some more on a Z3000 Pro and you even get internal antennas. ;)

Their first generation had still removable antennas. No idea why it was changed beyond saving a few euro maximum on the design and the risk to get lost during packaging.

There are plenty of dirty cheap Wi-Fi routers with removable antennas, and I don’t understand why this can’t be done on a player that costs several times more.
Moreover, the antenna mount on Z9X PRO is made of bad plastic and I know several people with cracked mount on at least one antenna and it no longer fix in place. I am one of these people.

Yes but the Z9X Pro only came out a year ago. I wonder how many future firmwares it will get - and how often? Especially as quite a few people on here still report major issues.

It really says "Lever" instead of "Level"?
But it is good news the choices are there.

Yes, there seem to be some minor translation mistakes here and there.
    Gonna collect and report them.

What's the difference between the Zidoo Z3000 Pro vs Zidoo Z30 Pro?

    Would performance be the same?

Also is it worth upgrading from a Zidoo Z2000 Pro?

    Thanks

I disagree, I use a projector and I have it perfectly calibrated.
I use different fonts, so, so I have to manipulate the projector every time I use a font...we're crazy...
It depends on the player's settings, it can improve it or not.
For example, OPPO players had quite a few options to touch the image and it was quite effective

Do the New z9X 8K / Z30 Pro use the same power units / supply as the previous units
Or does the new motherboard req diff power supply as more powerful ?
Any one can give me the amps / volts

    seen External 12V 2A 24W. 100-240V multi-voltage ?

is it still 12volts 3-5 amp as usual ?

They're definitely 12v and I assume they're the same power - My Z9X 8K is an engineering box so didn't come with a power supply - but I just used my Z9X one (12v, 2A) and it's fine.

I'm sure the Z30 will use the same motherboard (don't have a Z30) so that'll be the same too, although I assume that comes with a slightly more powerful supply as it includes a disc bay.

They should use the same power supply its been like that for years ( z9 / X - Z10 / pro etc etc 12v 2A /

in that case will use my Quality Brick power supply with led light from an old Z10 model years back
    Thanks for that.
As they been using a cheap plug type supply its awful .

    @Markswift2003 ,

Seldgehamma tested my H264 file on the Z9X 8K and he has that message:

Do you think it's possible that the Zidoo devs or engineers made the Z9X 8K go to software mode for level 5.2 H264 files because they didn't know the S928X SOC can playback H264 High@L5.2 4k50/60 fps files correctly in hardware decoding mode or do you think the S928X SOC truly does not support that in hardware decoding mode? Like you said yourself, decoding that in hardware mode is in the specs of the S928X from one of your previous post but like I also said, I saw conflicting reports about this as some web pages told me it can support it and some said it was 4k30 max for H264 like all the other SOCs.

Can you clarify that with the Zidoo devs or engineers please?

Funnily enough, just saw that on AVS and sent @Sledgehamma an email saying it was interesting that it didn't play that file because the specs say it should...

    I'll ask on Monday.

But question - why on earth do you want to use that spec - it's horribly inefficient?

I have files in that format and I am trying not to have to re-encode them to H265 and lose quality or have to use the shield or apple tv to play them since these players play them. Even my iphone and ipad pro plays them.

Thanks for asking on monday I appreciate it.

Hmm- gets more interesting - I just tried that file on a Dune 8K (same SOC) and that doesn't even attempt to play in software. It just shows a still of the first frame and that's it.
