Will this version of tidal support dolby atmos? And is this the more complete version of Tidal (non TV) that supports playlist and tidal connect?

How about full FEL support? As far as I know - no again. Since for full support we need two VPU cores for parallel processing, but Amlogic S928X-K contains only one, like everything before.

Hi, yes it's an error of the rendered pics they have published on the site. They are actually male XLR outputs.
You can find all the "real world" pics here:

Un'informazione su questo nuovo giocatore An information about this new player: is it compatible with ISO 3D and Bluray 3D?? Does the Bd menu work? Is it Auro 3D compatible?? I have the UHD 3000 which freezes and slows down a mess

A mixed answer. Yes ISO BD Menu should work far better but No 3D is not working at all anymore as the Amlogic does not include support for it. If you want to play those you need to keep your old player. Did the same with a quality 1080P Philip TV including active 3D. Works with the same glasses as my Epson 4K projector.

I still do like watching 3D movies now and then.

Auro 3D I hardly see included on any BD. It still is alive as a technology?
    https://www.auro-3d.com/content/
My new 11.2 Onkyo AMP includes it but still never tried/used it.
See a few titles which I actually do own.

No Auro 3D here in the specifications. So my guess is a no.

Great news about the rack ears. I wonder if they'll ship with the UHD8000 or you'll need to purchase them individually?

I hope the lifecycle of updates lasts more than 2 years before making the box obsolete, (given the treatment of Z9X).

Did not the Z9x come out more than 4 plus years ago with numerous updates also ?

    Hello everyone,
One question, do the new zidoos have a menu to improve the image?
The typical contrast menu, brightness, etc.
I see that the Dune does not have it and since this one has the same chip

Don't know about contrast menu, brightness but you can now select the menu from 2k to 4k
so that would make it more clear with more detail.

I don't know if the new Zidoo players has this type of adjustment.
But if it had it, in the vast majority of cases, it is highly recommended not to touch it.

An image must always be adjusted as a priority on the TV/projector
(and/or from the video processor if there is one in the installation).

A player must always remain as neutral as possible.
We only touch its settings (if it has any) as a last resort, only if the correctors of the TV/projector(/video processor)
have not been enough to compensate for a defect in the image or its adjustment, when calibrating it.

No reason for it to be a no no, but up to now I hadn't seen any G firmware.

Updates for the Z9X (RTD1619DR standard series) were numerous and during a decent period.
I can't say the same though for the Neo Players and above all the last released being the Neo Alpha which in total just got 5 working updates.

For RTD1619BPD it is worse. There were numerous bug fix releases needed which finally got them only on par functionally with the RTD1619DR series.
Now these are as obsolete as that RTD1619DR series. Personally as a manufacturer I would introduce a trade-in program with a decent discount for owners of one of these models.

At least the basic player and library corrections for video and music should be made available to the previous 2 generations in my perception.
    A few to name:
    - The download of subtitles with full original names (download broken on 1 before last FW release, short names only on last FW release)
    - The crummy 1.0 USB Disc player/ri(p)per. Totally unusable on all HiFi players. Works well with Eversolo finally.
    - Gapless support for MCH audio albums.
    - etc

If you mean an Emby/Jellyfin source for HT then no, but there are native Emby and Jellyfin apps included.

Also the Zidoo player is now exposed to external apps.

The 928 is capable of decoding 4 x 4K60 (FEL requires 1 x 4k60 plus 1 x 2K60 at 4K) but it's not supported in the Dolby SDK, and if it's not supported in the Dolby SDK, it's not happening I'm afraid.

However, it does utilise the RPU correctly for what is in essence now P8 and also includes CMv4.0 (which I think is a first for a licenced player).

Denon uses it. It can upmix to aura 2d or 3d. Never saw a movie with it sadly, but it sounds great

For the first time i did not upgrade on the next newer model as did not see much of an upgrade ( come so close )
Yes some have been caught out on the last models as such .
Think new firmware will be coming soon for previous models …..

Its looking that the newer models will be more snapier and hoping a slight bump in picture Quality ( 1080p ? ) and poss some streaming apps may work ?
No issues with my trusted Z10 Pro and additional usb 3.0 and one or two additional icons on Display Device etc
and my up & coming Birthday treat sold it for me .
