I have 190 TB but only because I have a duplicate of each drive. So actually 90 TB and a Copy of each.

I use about 25 plus 2 to 5 TB hdds all powered down and in aluminium storage cases ,so semi emf protected

thats for my 4k uhd movies (4 or 5 TB hdds ) 2 TB hdds for 4k TV epis and a bunch of older powered HDDs for 1080p TV series

Was using a 2Tb drive on the PC for all the Daily TV type stuff ,but just recently i swapped to a cheap 500G drive on my new Mesh Router so easier SMB access from all round the house ,specially now i power PC down at night since i dont play online MMOs now

Music files like 800 odd SACDs is all stored on seperate drives in an luminiul case and all on a 4 TB internal drive on my Z30X 8K

I always figured 2-4 tb isnt too bad to replace on a failure ..only 1 Drive failed so far in 10-15 yrs ,and if drive isnt powered up running 24/7 it shouldnt realy fail

But now ,back to regular viewing ....

Hi Mark, I've been using my Zidoo for a month and a half without any problems, except for a few visual bugs.
But yesterday the VRroom device arrived, which allowed me to play LLDV and after a lot of testing it turned out that every movie stutters.
From the moment I turned off LLDV and went back to HDR everything was fine.

I watched IPTV (TiViMate, HD Stream) for a while yesterday and it also stutters, just like when playing MKV. I'm currently using LLDV because this setting is supposed to reduce stuttering.

It is very annoying. It's high time Zidoo offered a solution!

Are you using an IPTV app handled by Zidoo?

I contacted Zidoo via email about the music player not displaying track names correctly. They asked for some screenshots and for me to send a couple of files to test...so we will see.

The app (TiViMate) is not managed by the Zidoo, it is simply installed on the Zidoo. I have now checked the settings in the app again, A/V HW decoder, internal player, and there was a function “Amlogik Fix” activated. I have disabled it and it seems to be working better now, I will continue to monitor it.

Sorry but I was curious what benefit you can get other than video upscale if you use an smart TV and an AVR in the chain.

I remember going through my drawer and finally just tossing all those floppies into the garbage. I also finally tossed about 2 dozen hard drives that were all under 4 TB.

I made that mistake twice before I finally went over to the duplicate HDD route.

Unfortunately, there is no TiViMate app for LG OS, and everything LG OS offers for IPTV is junk. Otherwise, I agree that streaming and IPTV should be left to the TV.

Did you destroy them with a sledgehammer or something before the tossing? Just a wee bit worried about info that remains even after wiping. I have about a dozen HDDs to get rid of

For IPTV on my LG I use the SmartOne app, works perfectly.

Yesterday I watched 4 movies of a series in 4K SDR, 2 times the picture froze and the sound continued. When I watched the affected points again, everything was fine.
But I never once recognized the stuttering.

I sold mine at very friendly prices. Always good if something is re-used.
Wanted to do the same for under 8 TByte but new drives got too expensive.

I didn't say the apps don't work, but they are nowhere near as good and convenient for me as the TiViMate app, I've tested them all. I have TiViMate Premium and this app runs on all my devices, with the same settings and favorites.

    Am I going insane?
The tidal app is playing gapless but tidal connect not?

I'm using the hdmi audioonly output.
Playing The Wall in max resolution.
On every trackchange the tidal connect renegotiates the connection (between the zidoo and the avr).
On the tidal app the connection stays stable.

I cannot recall this behavior on the previous version.

Yesterday I watched Wicked: Part I (2024) BDRemux 2160p, HDR, DV P7. Long movie (02:40:10). At about 1:10:00 mark frequent stutters started. After rebooting the mediabox the movie continued without problems
