The big question is: will it take long for a version to come out to fix this stuttering problem with Dolby Vision?
One thing is having an old problem since always, it's another to have a problem created with an update.
We are talking about expensive equipment, and the support from the technical team has to be in line with the price we pay. This is the type of fix that has to be ASAP.
@Markswift2003 any idea how long can the update fix take?

Hello, my only frustration was yesterday after the v1.2.05 update the device was stuck on the Zidoo logo, after 5 minutes still not restarted properly and still stuck on the logo so I turned it off !!!!!! :(

It restarted after, oufffff !!!!! :mdr:

It offered me the v1.2.05 update even though I didn't check the beta updates !!!!!!

Has anyone had the same problem as me with the Zidoo getting stuck on the only one?

And this beta update thing that's being proposed, it's strange but good!

It happened once, I haven't noticed it since, sometimes the sound DD is not restored, you need to press pause or rewind, but otherwise everything seems to work fine, before there was no smoothness of the picture, I found a setting that simply had to be left unchecked, now everything is ok

Ok thanks, what is this parameter that needs to be left unchecked?
    Thanks

Maybe but I'm thinking that some of the issues comes from _G version since mine without _G got no lipsync and no stutters at the moment. ;)

@Markswift2003 I wanted to make a request for the Zidoo team: to date it is possible to apply the VS10 engine settings to all SDR, HDR or DV films. But it would be nice to be able to apply the VS10 settings to films individually through the contextual menu of the film itself. In this way you can have maximum freedom to choose which movie to watch in HDR or DV and which movie to leave with the native settings. This request was born from the fact that not all films improve with the HDR settings. For example, some SDR films, for factors due to the production processes or age of the film, worsen considerably with the HDR or DV settings. Do you think that such a upgrade can be possible?

For me the update is an improvement verified for many of the items claimed. It got some small regression problems and several serious items remain.
But still I do recommend the update. I am running FW without G. I don't like not being able to go back. Never understood why that is so important for Zidoo.

The updates fixed one of the minor issues i have had

Ie watch say a tv epi then hit back to drop out of tv epi back to /smb / folder
If i then walked away say to make a coffee or surf on the PC ,and came back , if i moved on to a new episode and hit OK to start play ,it would crash back to SMB / Folder
This was something i was seeing a few times a day usually

Can gladly say i havent had this bug since new f/w came in

Switching in and out of HDR modes, particularly switching in and out from native SOC playback into VS10 playback requires that playback be stopped so switching on the fly is not possible.

:( It would have been a great thing if it was possible to do it. :(

I would take something like that. Everything will work for torrents :D.

Hi Mark. Lately I have noticed a strange phenomenon when I play a movie with a Dolby TrueHD Atmos track, at the beginning (first 10 seconds) of some movies I experience a small glitch in the picture that looks like a stutter but happens at the same time every time.
If I change the Audio track to another (for example Dolby Digital 5.1) and play the movie this glitch disappears.
So far this happens to almost every movie that has a Dolby TrueHD whit Atmos Track ON.

Match frame rate and resolution is set to On

I don't have any such problems with dolby atmos
However, lately I've been unplugging the device from the cable, not just the button on the front side. Maybe this somehow improves the previously observed problems with Dolby vision.

A friend of mine uses his Zidoo Z30PRO in 2.35 mode with GUI COMPRESSION. He selected the Frequency and Resolution mode because he prefers to let his Envy upscale its 1080p files. This configuration worked with the previous Zidoo generation.
Today, under the same settings, as soon as he activates the HDMI Direct Volume mode, his 1080p files come out of the device with a vertically compressed picture.
I managed to reproduce this bug on my own Zidoo Z9X 8K.
The only way to get rid of it is to perform a factory reset.
This setting causes also a lot of stuttering.

Pass-through compatible mode was the problem. I also think it fixed my LLDV stuttering problem.
