I don't even have option for LLDV on the Z9X 8K. Guess my OLED doesn't use it?

It was hard for me to just dump them all. I recall how much I spent on them at the time. But, the reality is I would never use them again and they were not worth how much electricity they use combining them to make a raid array.

Once you have your desired settings , Go set it as a Custom EDID
The loss of EDID settings has been an issue since the Realtech Pro range
Even with Custom EDID set ,this range will still rarely lose the settings ,thou not had it yet since this latest f/w ,while last one still had the issue

Takes me back to my first hard disc - in an original IBM XT - 20MB. Cavernous!!

The choppy playback, for me, is worse than ever.

Bought these in 2009 for $170 plus tax. Was my first "massive" drive. I would use 5 of them in raid.

In my settings the LLDV option disappears when I use a custom EDID
    You're right

I don't have a custom EDID. Just whatever the default is. I had the option on my Z2000Pro but not since I got the Z9x 8K. I assumed it has better "sensing" of my display capabilities and just removed the option is not needed.

I'm using LLDV as it very rarely stutters. Luckily on my LG I can't see any difference between that and any of the TV Led options.

For me this release is somewhat stable, though I have stuttering in some movies. Stutters are random and gone after going back to movie menu and starting playback again.

TV shows again are better on apple tv + infuse. Works so much smoother and looks better too. On Zidoo some DV layers just not working properly - too dim and frames are skipping

Anyway, I am truly frustrated with z3000 pro as I imagined it to be a perfect media machine, but with little hiccups and unreliability I often need to go to apple tv for some content
For movies with DV and Atmos there is no debate that zidoo is superior in playback, but when we do a movie night and it starts to stutter or freezes like in a previous firmware - it's just meh

Not even sure what to do, get Dune? I just want a reliable playback with one box. Apparently not possible at all with current hardware =/

I fully agree. Reproduction problems have the utmost priority.

Oh yes - Western Digital Caviar - they were the hard disc to get - Once I got serious about PC building, WD Caviars were the only drives I'd use. I still only use WD to this day.

I remember having a couple of those too! The attached shows the ones I'm looking to "Destroy" then skip.

I take my old hard drives apart and and put the platters in a pile in the garage, I even gave some to a friend to hang in a tree to keep a woodpecker away.

That's a good idea - I might pinch that idea for the summer!

Now if anyone's got any ideas for getting rid of rabbits, I'm all ears!
