Just a note : One thing i like about the Zidoo Boxes is that it does not depend on access to the internet for it to function on its own etc Not like the Nvidia which drove me mad always looking for internet and made it unstable and unusable till it was connected to wi fi signal . So keep it the same with new firmware and future boxes And will i be getting Bit Rate firmware on next update . Please
Id Id imagine it just means this unit drives power to the components ( as in The transformer Pack ) Or special power pack ?
Yes it is possible, especially with a DAC ES9038 V2 if they want the best quality and make a high-end device
High Quality power supplies are still build traditionally with a transformer and big capacitors. The transformer is then mostly a ring type (=toroidal) transformer to avoid noises. It doubt the PSU used with X20 is build like that. It would e.g. need a power switch for voltage selection (=rated 100V - 240V) which is not seen anywhere. Hence it is a (cheaper to build) switched mode PSU. Also updated the feature specs expected by me for the X11/X15, now that the whole boards and the exact board split is revealed. Drives Power probably simply refers to the power for the Internal HDD's. There seem to be some additional power components also on the Audio panel.
Back to the firmware coming soon Some members have asked about this 4K issue etc Will it be coming on update ?
No, but I know that zappiti 4k hdr has an option to disable the hdr according to a person who has a zappiti. I guess zidoo could offer it too, they have the same chipset
exciting news, but can the Zidoo team fix the basic issue of "ZDMC crashes" when playing with external player?
Well the chipset does support Nougat 7.0 so are we getting it ? Easy answer is were going X11 style so is that on Nougat 7.0 ? Scrap that thats on 4.44 ?
