What does it mean it works well. Did you measure the transfer?

Did you notice a difference between the different ports ?

I refer to an issue that I have with one of the USB 3.0 ports that can't go over 30MB/s but the other one can handle 100MB/s without any issue with the same SSD or external HDD :

I did not measure the speed. The question was if the Z9X 8K could "see if the Z9X finds any of the devices". In my case it sees the USB 3.0 drive fine and everything on it plays back fine.

They all worked perfectly on the Z9X Pro, and I have ordered that again

Well, Zidoo.de hasn’t gotten back to me… good that I immediately ordered the Cliff FC68122C that you recommended. Today, it finally has arrived and now RS-232 is working nicely on my Z9X 8K! The entire length of the longer than normal shaft is needed to make the required contact. And yes, TX and RX were swapped in my first attempt. ;-)

Thanks for your support! Now I will be able to use the unit in my home theater.

Zidoo Amazon store in the US dm'd me saying hopefully the Z9X 8K will be available by this coming Sunday.

Page is out there for pre-order now.

Hi, does Zidoo Z9X 8K support Dolby True-HD and DTS:X decoding to multichannel PCM (vs 2.0 as before)? The latest Dunes on the same chipset support decoding up to 7.1 channels, but I like Zidoo's UI more

Sorry if this has been asked before, but all on the Zidoo website it states on all models:

"Supports lossless music playback in formats like DSD (SACD ISO, DSF, DFF), WAV, APE, DTS"

Can somebody please explain how the different models handle this, and how it is different to my existing Z9X?
Much appreciated, I am trying to decide weather to upgrade or not and if so to what model.
Music would be from my own collection not streamed.
There does not seem to be much real info on the new Music Player.
    Cheers Rob

    A couple minor issues here:
Still wondering if there is a way to remove the unused icons/apps in Music Player.
And if I change the wallpaper in Music Player to System Wallpaper it always reverts to Default Wallpaper after a power down. Am I missing a Save operation somewhere?

Guys, I want to get one of the new 8K Zidoo players. One question. Am I missing out on Dobly Vision profile 7 FEL? I mean, even if the 8K Zidoo players don't support it, I'm not missing out on much, correct? I was looking at the Ugoos player that can play DV profile 7, but it's nothing compared to the beauty of these new Zidoo players.

I would like to purchase the UHD8000 in the usa. Summit charges extra AND has a 15% restocking fee. I will not be purchasing a UHD8000 from them. I suppose zidoo will not be getting my money.

As a USA based customer myself, I agree.... As I said in a previous post, I think it was a pretty stupid move on Zidoo's part to grant "exclusivity" to one dealer. There's no way I'm going to pay an inflated price up front and then loose "big" money again if I needed to return it.

I already own a Z10 Pro and a Z1000 Pro and really wanted a UHD8000. I guess I'll now just sit back and wait to see if this somehow flushes out... Amazon charges nothing for a returned item as long as it's returned in "like new" condition and in the original packaging.
