UHD8000 still is not on Amazon in the US.

I think that Zidoo have agreed an exclusive deal with Summit Hi-Fi in the US for that model. As soon as that deal was struck Futeko in the UK withdrew that model from sale to the US.

Of course, VAT has to be paid on UK imports.

    From Futeko site:
    "
    VAT (IVA)

VAT will be assesed by your national customs authority and collected by the delivery courier before delivery. The VAT rate varies by country but is typically 15-25%. See here.

VAT is the main tax payable to the national customs authority before delivery."

Which unfortunately creates a situation where Summit Hi-Fi can (and is) charging a premium price for US customers. The last time I looked, Summit was charging ~$150 more than what Futeko was charging for the same UHD8000 sale to the US. To me, this decision to create single vendor "exclusivity" was not a good one and I hope this changes in the future. That's just my opinion of course...

I bought my UHD8000 from Summit and so far so good. However, I too am disappointed in the pricing as well as the time it took to receive. Despite the high charge for the unit, the shipping was probably the cheapest possible -- Fedex ground, and this took 7 days to reach me (Washington State to New York City Metro). I understand that shipping from Futeko is far quicker.

I asked zidoo on the amazon site whether they are planning on selling the UHD8000 through Amazon and they told me probably not, and recommended Summit Hi Fi.

@Markswift2003 @zidoo I got my Z9X 8k replacement today. Updated to latest firmware v1.1.42, with a USB 3.0 flash drive on the back of the Z9X 8K, and it was detected right as I plugged it in.. With last unit I updated via Ota. So I did a Factory reset and now the same problem with the USB 3.0.... And again all my USB 2.0 flash drives work instantly! So I guess it has something to do with the firmware. Is it possible to downgrade the firmware??

Funny because on Summit HIFI's website they mention how quick they are because you are speaking directly with the owner.

Never thought about sending a dm to Zidoo store on Amazon. I should ask them about the Z9X 8K. Only see the Z3000 and Z30 8K devices on Amazon and neither have the Z9X 8K yet.

The package looks like it was drop shipped from the manufacturer. If I recall, on the Summit website, the phone number has a Toronto area code.

    I have an unexpected issue.
Trying to use my premium Idagio account (classical music) on my UHD8000 where the app is preinstalled,
When connecting to my premium account, this account is not recognized as Premium, and so no one track is working.

I confirm my account is Premium+

@Markswift2003 can you transmit this bug to the Zidoo team please.

I finally gave in and purchased the beautiful UHD8000 from Futeko. How many days does it take to reach Italy from the moment the package is shipped from England?

Can someone who recently received their z9x 8k and updated the firmware try to connect an external usb 3.0 SSD, HDD or flash drive.
And see if the Z9X finds any of the devices

I just ordered the Z9X Pro. I can't wait for a firmware update that may never get released, that fixes this issue.

I have three 5TB USB 3.0 portable hard drives connected to the USB 3.0 ports on my Z9X 8K. They all work perfectly fine on the latest firmware, and the previous firmware was fine as well. Only issue is that the transfer speeds over Samba is just 30 MB/s, but apparently it's an NTFS thing and can't be fixed.
