    You are correct Mark and piou, I just found out that on the LG G4, pressing the green button seven times, shows a windows with VRR information including how many Hz the TV outputs and its 24 even when Zidoo sends 23.976Hz. Sorry my bad.

    One issue I have now is when skipping to next or previous chapter the video then has choppy playback until I pause and then press play to get smooth playback again

    Doing the same with 29.97, the TV shows 30Hz, also when changing to 59.94, the TV shows 60hz so I'm not sure if the TV rounds up the Hz numbers or the Zidoo outputs are wrong.

    Welp, anybody else noticed choppy playback also?

    Most TVs and projectors will report 23.976 and 24 as 24Hz, 29.97 and 30 as 30Hz, 59.94 and 60 as 60Hz.

    You need something like an HDFury to analyse properly.

    It seems that Zidoo outputs the correct setting regarding frame rate. For those with LG G4 TVs go to Settings > highlight channel tuning> press 1 five times. Select "more" on bottom right for additional HDMI/Video info.
    On the 2nd row from the top left, pay attention to Video(LINK) and VRR_frequency. There it shows correctly 23.97Hz, same for the other Hz settings.

    Yes, it's never absolutely spot on - there's always a few millihertz in it and as long as the number is slightly lower then it's all good. If the number is higher then that causes problems.

    59.940 is really 60000/1001 and 23.976 is 24000/1001 - left over from the old analogue days, so completely irrelevant these days but no-one's told the mastering houses yet.

    Cool! That also works with the LG G3. Thanks.

    @Markswift2003
    Mark a question, if I order the UHD8000 from the futeko site with shipping to Italy, in addition to the cost of the player do I then have to pay customs duties to the courier?

    Yes. I had to pay €36.

    Ok, thanks. I think you are Italian like me. In addition to customs duties, did you also pay VAT?

    I'm from Denmark :) yes that's included in the €36

    Sorry but with Google translate many things are not clear. Did you order a UHD8000 with shipping to Italy and paid only 36 euros? Did you not pay VAT?

    Question for everyone but especially for Italians. If I order the UHD8000 from the futeko site with shipping to Italy, in addition to the cost of the player do I then have to pay customs fees and VAT to the courier? Thanks

    Ok, these are the customs duties and they are about 36 euros. I was wondering if in Italy I also have to pay VAT which is 22%
