They seem to have a cult following, each to their own, that's why we have choice.

    Holy crap, you're kidding.

    Utterly clueless.

The 5 minutes I watched (from where he didn't have a clue what an EDID is) contained so much incorrect information...

Again I ask how did he come across a flagship device before the general public? Unless I missed it he didn't disclose whether or not Zidoo sent him the device, but I assume they did

Almost mistakenly ordered it from Amazon (US)...then realized they only have the Z9x PRO, not the Z9x 8K.

Blimey 52 minutes to say very little.

It's just like projectors, these "influencers" have no clue. It's such a shame they all get free stuff to review when they are always inaccurate about most basic things.

Start your own channel. Review one of the older devices and be positive about it (and of course maybe you really do like the device in question). Then see if Zidoo reaches out to you in the future. :)

IT'S NOT limited... I use 14 20 TB Drives on my Z9X Pro. i think they mean for the models that support internal. As long as you hard drive is powering itself, you can have whatever you want.

Really? What strikes me is that the whole indexing/scraping part is still the same. Zidoo changed the gui, but the whole underlying OS part is still the same.
I'm sure you will present this as the best invention since sliced bread :) , but to me this looks like you will have the same issues with scraping as i had before with the older models.
( not even mentioning the relativly slow loading ( compared to others) of the posters with this socket? )

So , another question.. what happens if you ad a new tv show..does it scrape *everything* again from zero, or does it only scan the new added files?

Only the new added files, of course. On my Z2000 Pro out of 205 TV Series I haven't had a single Series/Episode misidentified, as long as you name it correctly - xxx S01E01 etc. Same with movies. Only if there are two or more movies with the same name will you have to manually change it or just input the year after the title.

Interesting, so with the no pro it started from zero, and with this model and the pro it just scans the new files, so lets say a 10 second index thing?

It varies, but it's definitely longer than 10 seconds. :)

P.S. That's with the previous generation.
