On the chinese review posted page 8 cloud storage is mentionned for bluray so i guess onedrive, dropbox and maybe emby plex etc? One can hope

I don't know of any plans to support Emby as far as video goes.

 

Since the new 8k model is now available, can anyone tell me about the picture quality difference compared with The z9x pro? The 8k model is worth upgrade? The AI picture feature really plays pivotal role?

Same for me i turn the ai off on my lg g4.
No reason to « enhance » the movie creator’s vision.
Maybe it could’be usefull to upscale old dvd but for bluray or 4k content thre is no really need

All joking aside, I do hope these new boxes are all the seem to be. Me, I'll wait for user feedback etc...i'm in no rush, as I can't fault the picture qualty of my Z1000pro (with the settings I have).

 

How it is with big libraries on the poster wall with this new generation?

 

Very good - I've tested up to 4000 title libraries and performance was excellent.

Better in the 2K UI - at 4K, perfomance takes a bit of a hit but that's to be expected.

I am agree with you.

If the subtitle problem is not fixed, I don't think I will buy Zidoo again.

 

They call everything AI these days. My Philips TV has something called AI too but is done with a special processor with fixed intelligence. In the past it would have been called dynamic or adaptive being content aware.

An AI process is self learning so the picture enhancement should be changing over time as the process is learning from practice. A bit difficult here as the result should be judged to be better or worse.
For me it is just a hype wording here.

I don't think you mentioned whether the Z9X 8K can navigate the UI with an Xbox Controller via bluetooth. I know its a strange request but I find it a lot more comfortable and easy to use than a remote, and it's how I've been using my Shield. It's not a deal breaker, but I'd like to know if it's possible or not.

Just ordered a Z3000Pro to replace my Z1000Pro. Will the procedure to transfer poster wall data, etc. to the new box be the same? Hoping the new box is a marked improvement over the 1000.
