Rewind does not work. I think it's an issue with the SOC as Dune also has this limitation.

 

rewind key isnt supported in the OS use the < on the Jog button ,works fine

 

Quite a basic feature to not be supported, but thanks to you both. Yes, the jog button is a reasonable work around.

 

I have a Zidoo 3000 Pro, and I have to keep it unplugged because every time it goes into standby mode, I get strange colors and poor picture quality when I switch it back on. However, a complete power-off works fine for me. This definitely needs to be fixed

 

The next Amlogic SOC won't support playback either, and if you're planning a processor for a washing machine, the next generation won't support spinning.
(Indeed, there's no rewind in the Dune HD Max 8K either...)

 

I solved this with custom Edid. I was getting the same with poor picture quality and couldnt set the 4k resolution. Try to set custom Edid and see if it outputs ok after. I will make a conclusion later about this because I ve discevered something that could help the devs

 

Another odd glitch, started to get the HDMI sync (black screen) issue with the movie Titanic, odd.. other movies worked fine-ish, just the usual little pause. But Titanic lost sync every 4-5 minutes, I fixed it by taking resolution off auto and chose 4k dolbyvision 23.9 fps
and was fine.. very odd, I know we watched this movie on a previous firmware and never had any issues.. Just another one for the list.. lol

 

So no rewind no 3D frame packing but it does 8K that no one hardly uses, what a great AML S928x chip design that is.

 

On this firmware I previously only had a few pause / audio continue problems and the DTS out of sync, Has of the other day ( no change to my setup ) my Dolby True HD movies seem to pause every 10 second then continue constanly, DD plus played oK has did DTS other than the out of audio sync, both the Dolby True HD movie I tried to watch played fine on my R_volution 8K which uses the same chip.
seem like the Titanic is Dolby True HD

 

Yes, all of these 8k devices go to sleep and forget some user settings until they are restarted. I always power off after every use now to avoid this.

 

I had this happen for the first time with this FW yesterday.
I was watching a 4K HDR10 AV1 movie. Everything was going fine until I paused the movie with ~30 minutes remaining. When I resumed playback, I started getting the black screen with audio dropouts every 5 minutes or so.

 

Yes, restarting the next day is no longer properly done once on two (blocking black screen etc ...) force to cut the general switch and to turn back !!!!

 

I experienced something that I haven't read about here yet. At one point the remote control got stuck. The light between the keys at the top kept flashing. It could no longer be used. I was just planning on turning the zidoo off with the button on the back when I could turn off the zidoo with my TV remote control. It's a bit strange, imho.

 

I got my Zidoo Z3000pro on 15 august 2025, I have never ever encountered any problems after the z3000pro goes to Power Standby mode.

When I start up the Z3000pro again, there are no problems at all, it just starts as you would expect it to do, it takes about 22 seconds to boot up, no black or green screens.

 

The standby mode we're talking about is an unsupported standby mode that occurs after some timeout; usually when the device is just left on overnight for example. It's unclear what triggers the mode as there are no settings to control it. The easiest way to know if it has occurred is when you turn the device on the clock will be enabled on the display, even if you'd configured it to be off. There are a host of other settings that seem to be ignored after resuming from this standby mode. If you power your device off using the standard power button on your remote however it shouldn't affect you.

 

my z3000 goes into some standby mode exactly after 24 hours of no use.the display will disappear and power light turns red.i then have to turn power button on.i can navigate around the zidoo but it wont start any movies for 2 minutes and 40 seconds.turning the zidoo off/on while not in standby mode my movies play right away as soon as i can navigate to select any movie.
i prefer to leave zidoo on at all times and never go into any standby mode.i have not found any standby mode bypass setting.

my temp fix is to have my control4 send a "home theater 5.0 shortcut" command every 12 hours when zidoo is not in use.this keeps the zidoo player from going into 24hour standby mode.

 

Known bug. Reported.

I have a oled LG TVC C25, but I meanwhile understood this issue relates to people who leave their Mediaplayer on for 24 hrs
and that the mp after a certain time still goes into standby mode (apparently a bug and already reported to zidoo team)

 

I forgot to turn off my zidoo Z9x 8k and after 34 hours nothing happends all is ok...
