Been happening now and then for a couple of weeks.

 

I can confirm that I’ve experienced this issue almost consistently when using the remote for an extended period. As mentioned, removing and reinstalling the batteries seems to fix it, but it’s incredibly frustrating. It took me a few sets of batteries to realise the problem was with the remote/Zidoo rather than dead batteries.

Thats odd. I see this on DV but not SDR and HDR10! Do you have VS10 engaged for SDR or HDR?

 

It has been happening off and on, usually only for a couple of minutes, for a couple of weeks now. Don't spend time blaming your equipment.

There've been a couple of updates over the last weeks - you may have noticed the forum is finally on secure http - the last few days there was an issue where pics couldn't be uploaded in messages because of a read only problem, but that's now sorted, but I haven't seen any times where the forum has been unreachable - and needless to say, I'm here a lot

Also not been anything in the error logs (except for the above mentioned picture posting thing).

But I'll keep an eye on things.

 

ive had it at least 2 x over the last month or two ,where its totally unaccessable for 10-12 hrs at least ,no matter what browser i tried ,and all to do with Not Secure issues
,but i could see when googling the site ,that it was picking up some comments still being posted in those periods. I just couldnt get on due to its Non Secure settings ,at the time

 

Has anyone found a way to play problematic VC1 files? I had never experienced an issue with them, but my just-ripped Nine Inch Nails concert BD is a distorted, pixelated visual mess in Zidoo (the mkvs play fine on my PC). No issues with audio. I tried different match frame rate/resolution settings, reboots, etc. with no improvement.

 

I have the same issue with The Nine Inch Nails BD. Frustrating because one of my faves! Played fine on my Zidoo Neo.

 

Oh wow. I thought it was only my remote that was faulty. I feel like buying a new remote since having this same issue. Batteries are good, but every other click does not register. I connected my shield tv remote via Bluetooth and it works so much better and feels quicker too. Only problem is I cannot use the shield remote to power on zidoo after powering it off. Lol

 

How odd that this disc is, for some reason, particularly problematic.

 

I had it again, but this time the batteries were low, I checked them with a multimeter, and they had still 0,9 V in them. Too low for the remote apparantly.

 

Yeah, 0.9v is wayyyy too low.

 

I don't think they'll ever fully solve issues like HDMI handshake and EDID. These problems have been present in their previous devices (z9x and z9x pro, z2600) as well. Even though the latest update for the Nvidia Shield Pro has improved things significantly, delivering perfect audio and video quality, companies like Zidoo and Dune are still affected by these issues.

glad that you like it, but it is measurably far from perfection.

 

Think ive solved a lot of the random HDMI start up issues by placing my Z30 power brick on to a wifi power adapter

Now when i tell Echo to turn on the living room ,its all turning on correctly ( added the wifi power adapter to the Living Room Group )
At bed time its a simple echo turn off living room and it all turns off now ( lots of times the Z30 just would refuse to shut down )

Also handy when i want to access the internal music drive or an external USB HDD ...Echo turn on Zidoo ,will just power up the Z30 allowing me network access to the drives ,without every other device turning on too

 

Far from perfection and far from configurable capability

 

Good enough for Netflix.

Okay, I'll say it. 2015 Shield is more reliable than 2024 Zidoo
