The surround sound experience in Dune is noticeably more immersive with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compared to Zidoo. In Dune, even at low volume, the surround effects remain vivid and natural. However, in Zidoo, the surround speakers sound weak, with the main (front) speakers being overly dominant while the surround effects are much lower in volume. At low volume, the surround effects in Zidoo fade away completely, making it feel more like a hollow hall rather than an immersive experience. I haven’t changed any settings on either device, keeping them at factory defaults, and my setup is perfectly fine.

 

Nobody will assure you that all issues will disappear but many of them. I suggest you to update to 1.2.01 as you don't lose more than 15-20min. At this moment, this firmware is the most stable by far!!

 

Are you running Zidoo and TV only or AVR as well? If you detail the playback chain may help a lot!!

 

Again - if you are playing lossless audio via HDMI bitstream the sound will be identical coming from Dune or Zidoo. If you hear a difference there must be something different to your setup or the audio chain between devices and speakers

I hope someone can help if anyone else has had this problem...I have the UHD5000 with two internal hard drives. I'm using the Samba server to transfer files from my PC to it. however, I can only access one of the hard drives, the other one shows up on my PC with just the number associated with it but I cannot access it? anyone that has a suggestion would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Which torrent app with access to external drives recommended on zidoo z3000 pro? Bigly McBlum ver can't be installed and GP ver haven't access to folders.

So I have not yet encountered issues with playing video files with the new firmware.

However when playing music files 24 bit 192 khz wav files....the player sometimes freezes during playback and needs to be rebooted to work again.

In other cases playback stops and I am receiving the message " this song has expired "

In other cases playback pauses and resumes with a few seconds interval.

1) I confirm absolutely the same problem with offset. Fortunately, I only needed to use it once.
2) from time to time it selects wrong preset subtitles automatically. My language is "czech", but Zidoo switch to Danish very often. Otherwise, after the firmware update, the vast majority were fixed. Thank you.

 

After watching quite a few movies, the combination that I mentioned at the time of restoring to factory settings after updating the firmware, at least on my player, has worked perfectly. I have already forgotten about jumps and freezes of images.

 

Easy repeatable Crash or sometimes reboot

Ok i have TV epis in a folder on an Hdd accessed via SMB (havent checked local storage yet ,probably the same thou )
Ill watch through an episode and once its finished ,sit parked in the smb/Drive/Folder with various tv epi files in it
Leave it sitting there for 5-10 mins ,say make a coffee ,check emails off on PC etc etc
Come back and its changed to SS (or not if im less than 5 mins)
Hit OK , scroll to next epi to watch and hit play
Almost every single time ,it will play say 5 secs and then it will crash back to the Folder menu (sometimes it can even reboot )

Its not major , since i know im doing it with the paused in folder menu area ,but should be something fixed since earlier models dont do it

 

It happened to me a similar issue in SMB-NAS: After watched a TV episode, press exit to go to the poster of the series, wait for few seconds, choose next episode and press play key... with no reaction. Exist posterwall and return back to TV Series with no response at all. Need to reboot to recover control. It happens 3 times out of 10 playbacks.

 

Since the time that I talk about SMB problems, I have the problem since this new 8K model !!!!!

 

You probably already know this: I also had problems with the SMB setting in my NAS (QNAP), which no longer causes a problem after I changed it to the setting from SMB 1.0 to SMB 3.0.
My up and download speed to and from the NAS is considerably better.

 

That’s no the reason as I set up min/max 2-3.

 

I have found a strange bug since lately.

Each next time I use my Zidoo Z3000 Pro and open the posterwall it keeps changing some of the movie posters deviating from the poster I selected for those titels.

 

Meanwhile. in Bug Testing....

 

I have already been like that for a long time (from SMB 1.0 to SMB 3.0). Thank you anyway!

 

I also cannot rewind any movie (well, more accurately any movie I have attempted to). Is everyone experiencing this??
