so still the same crappy A55 cores and this time Quadcore compared to Hexacore for Z9X, totally unnecessary products, could just update current line to Android 11.

    I can't find anything about RTD1619BPD
The ARM Mali-G57 is about 3 years old.

I find it interesting calling something "Pro" and use slow A55 cores, I want the smooth and fast UI as the Nvidia Shield have even though it uses old A57 cores. :)

    Hello McBluna,

Twice as much memory and an hdmi 2.1 port, is there anything more?

Is it a kind of modified RTD1619 to wait until next year?

The black cases are a good idea.

If Zidoo could give us a FW that offers improvements before these new models it will be more appreciated.

    To be continued

HDMI 2.1 means nothing for this kind of product, the only improvement I see is Android 11. :)

Ok nothing major actually, in your opinion is it worth changing my Z9X for this one?

As said more I guess it's an update of the RTD1619 waiting for something better next year

this is not a big improvement in anyway as it still uses old and slow A55 cores and if the information about Quadcore is correct then it's two less cores than Z9X, sure it does have double the RAM and Storage but it won't make the UI faster or smoother, oh and it does have better GPU too, maybe for those who play games on this. :)

Nobody plays games on this device :)

Thanks for your advice, I will save my money for next year's zidoo and keep my Z9X for 2023.

    Why do you think that?
One of two feature I love to see would be 4k120 support so we can have the GUI at 120p and play 24p content without HDMI sync. Second would be QMS.

In fact, Zidoo does, dune with their 'pro', so hardly interesting ............. we will surely pass!

The STB market and the STB SOC market is a bit odd at the moment - we have Zappiti in liquidation and Dune resorting to OEMing Kodi boxes from other manufacturers using AML905 SOCs which are fundamentally flawed.

Realtek is really the only viable option for this kind of player at the moment, and as far as I know, Zidoo are the only ones to use this new SOC.

Hopefully the market will open up a bit if the AML928 matures enough to have a viable media player and not be hamstrung in the way current AML SOCs are.

And yes, I do know a little bit more than this, but I can't say anything other than I'm sticking with Zidoo!!
