The problem is that reporting about basic bugs is not considered
I am on the amazon forum and I have alexa app and google assistant products
In these forums they answer every report directly and politely and try to help
Not in the current zidoo forum where a bug report is ignored instead of being acknowledged for the report
As the product gets worse and fewer new versions come out
This is how the icon of the great manager Markswift2003 grows
It says something about the person, rather about modesty
I am throwing away my device zidoo z10 pro
I ordered a Dune HD Pro One 8K Plus

Should ISO playback automatically display forced subtitles? Or do I have a wrong setting?

My example is Bram Stoker's Dracula UHD at the 2:30 time mark.

Yeah I've not heard any issues either but I think people are just comfortable in the state of 'dont fix if its not broken' at this point. Last update was so so long time ago.

Z9X ... I have issue with subtitles position when pause or going front, backwards into the movie, my settings don't work and goes to default.

Is there a way to remove this UAPP warning? I've tried everything and I can't remove it and it keeps appearing repeatedly

I've been putting up with it since the beginning - it would be good to be able to remove it

Trust me, I've tried everything and more. I can't remove this warning!

I believe you - I've tried too without success - it's the first thing I cancel when switching on my Z1000 Pro. Hoping I won't need UAPP with my shiny new UHD8000

In theory, no. The UHD8000 has Music Player 8 built in, and you should have everything you need.

I know, thanks. I say "hoping" as I'll have a truck load of testing to do - I do like UAPP though

I'm not stating my Zidoo is all the sudden worthless or no longer functions. Quite the opposite, I really love this product and therefore want it to be the best possible version it can be. There is no better alternative overall, but the bugs I complain about now are bugs that you typically see in version 1.0 of software. Of course this player still does it's main job and does it well, which is why I will keep using it and keep enjoying it for many years. Just a shame that simply reporting bugs starts a debate on whether or not they matter, or are in fact even issues. I wish Zidoo could address some of the simple little fixes instead of just being asked to live with these annoying quirks.

Even the new Z9X 8K still have major issues with menu playback - zidoo really never needed to make things up. this update was overdue and there should be at least another one to fix any remaining bugs, but the fact that z9x 8k have menu problem playback, well, what's the point of even investing in a new device? I don't hate my zidoo at all, I like it in many ways, but I will not be investing in any other zidoo products, most likely ever again in my life.

I experience the same thing, e.g. resuming after pausing causes the subs to reset to the zero (0) position, but still shows the set value from before. Only after clicking “up/down” on the position from sub setup it shows the reset value and you have to set it up again. As a masking screen user, this is a very annoying bug, as subs will reset to masked portion of the screen after each resume. It seems also to be a regression from previous firmware, as this worked fine before.

If you off the subs and then on it comes to your settings without set up and down...

So, this might be the final update for Z9X.

    • Genre filters still show blank results.
    • Country filters are still featuring only a bunch of countries, unrelated to the content.
    • Duration filter is… playing by its own rules I guess, but not duration haha
    • CEC is still not properly working with Panasonic televisions (I checked, still working perfectly fine with my PS5). Need to manually enable it every time in the TV menu, throwing me off HT when Zidoo finally recognizes the TV remote.
    • Some movies still can't fetch the artists list, who knows why (proper TMDB matching, and the TMDB page is all right, like here).
    • The "watched" status is still a mess (if you watch 4 seconds of a movie, it's not considered as "not watched" but not considered as "watched" either). It could have been easily fixed by considering every movie which hasn't been viewed for at least 90% as unwatched.
    • The "watched" icon is still an half-transparent PNG of an eye displayed in the lower right corner of the posters which makes it, say, half of the time either invisible or hard to see (you need a dark and homogeneous background for it to display properly). An extra ribbon (like for "HD" etc.) or a coloured checked icon could have fixed this easily.
    • The "4K" ribbon is still attributed to any file containing "4K' in their names, regardless of 4K resolution or 4K restoration (which are very different things, 4K restorations are often used for 1080p-only blurays). SD label is also frequent for 720p files. Relying on Mediainfo could have fixed that.
    • Movie description don't seem to be updated, I have to regularly correct TMDB's entries because they feature heavy spoilers (like "the main character will kill himself in the final scene", brilliant work from TMDB's contributors haha) and sometimes months later when I finally forget about the spoilers, my Zidoo still shows it -_- Refreshing the data could have fixed that (and maybe the artists list issue ?).

The poster wall improved, it's loading much faster than how it used to, that's great !
Too bad there's still no way to "teleport" in the chronological view. You got 1000 movies ? You're going to scroll, for a loooong time. Pressing digits, like when playing, or like the posterwall of Zappiti since many years now, would have solved this issue, and I'm asking it for years.

So, I'm glad it's here. I'm disappointed most of the issues I had since day 1 (2021 for me) are still here after years and will apparently never be fixed.

I have little trust the new line will do better then. I was thinking about that 8K box, but in the end, it'll bring me a smoother browsing, but CEC, empty artist, broken filters, broken watched status, even something as simple as the watched icon (I'm sure you know one guy who can make a png icon in a matter of minutes, I know dozens, even I)… can't be sure it won't stay broken like that forever.

    Thank you.
I thought the firmware was no longer being released, this still confirms Zidoo's focus on this model and all its customers.

And for me the Music Player is a mess... :)
Still no support for foreign (extended) text characters,
like å ä ö (Nordic Europe), but what are the chances after several years of Zidoo not listening
to support on example ArtistAlbum and MusicTitles?
The Home Theater is useful, but what is the meaning of byuing the enhanced audio version (like NEO X)
when the Music Player is not getting any attention.
This time I wished the Zidoo Development Department had been trying to fix the old Music Player.

Reading all the above, as a Jellyfin user, seems I'll stick with 6.4.42. It's been very stable for me and does all I need, and I'm unsure in .68 fixes all the bugs they introduced since .42. I always follow 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' philosophy when upgrading firmware. I might one day install the HT5 apk... but currently do not need it.
