Do you use the screen only? No app?

The options on the screen is different than in the app (or at least the layout is different).

Using the screen and going into ‘Music’, you can have it show all your albums.

Click an album and see the tracks. Click three dots to the right of a track and you get a pop-up menu with option to ‘add to play list’.

Under ‘Files’ you probably don’t get these options. ‘Files’ is not a player but more a place to view your files in the folders you created.

And @mirror here is another example of things not being consistant. Is it called ‘playlist’ or ‘play list’.

Sorry, but these errors really annoy me.

I use an iPad. The Android tablet app might be different. I don’t own an Android phone/tablet.

With the app it's ok but I would like to use the same thing on the A6 screen and it's not there...

The software / user interface is different on the screen. I added some screenshots to show how you can add to playlist using only the screen. Look above.

    Yes right!
And if there's any sound, sound is growling.
Don't install this version, cause don't work!

Thanks but it still doesn't work for me as this way bring ALL tracks for the SSD, I want 1600+ tracks from only one specific folder...
Still wondering why apparently we cannot choose a folder and add it's content to a playlist. Or simply Select a folder and play every tracks in it...

Maybe they can make that happen. A workaround would be to add each folder as a library, since you can play libraries but not folders.

Can you please tell me how to do that ?

Delete your current library (so as not to have double of everything).

Then add each folder as a new library (giving you many libraries).

So don’t just add the EverSoloMusic folder as a library, but click through to the underlieing folders and add those one by one.

I only have one folder with all my (favourite) tracks in it, nothing else..
Your firs solution look the best one but unfortunately not available on the A6 screen (just in front of me) ...
    Thank you for your help

Cover shows up just now but no tracks. It's weird.

Looks like it works now. Not related to the update I guess. Probably the service is down or something. Thanks

Is it possible to have this thread active in the DMP-A6 forum as well? Or create a new v1.3.20 thread in the DMP-A6 forum?

I also use the coax SPDIF output to connect to active speakers and get no volume at all between -100dB and -55db (this part of the adjustment range is effectively muted). At -55dB I get a sudden jump in volume, and then after this it can stay at the same level for several volume steps (3 or 4dB of increase) before then jumping up again, increasing in a steps rather than smoothly.

It is nice to have a digital volume control that is somewhat usable, but the implementation really needs some work. DSP-based volume control should use word-lengths of at least 24-bits (ideally 32 or 64-bit) to do the volume control and then output this at the maximum bit resolution that the receiving DAC can take. Because of this I would expect that there should be an option in the digital volume control settings to set the maximum input resolution of the receiving DAC (for example this would be set to 24-bit for the DAC in my active speakers) and everything is then output at this resolution after the digital volume control.

So the A6 would display the original file resolution on its screen as it currently does, convert this to 32 or 64-bits to do the DSP for the volume control, and then convert this down to the maximum DAC resolution for output over SPDIF.

TIDAL has announced ATMOS over Tidal Connect. Will we get this?

The thread is posted in the DMP-A8 forum, but it's also visible in the DMP-A6 forum (or I would never have seen it!)

I really regret updating my Eversolo DMP-A6 without checking this forum beforehand. It's quite buggy. My brand new (one-week old) external Crucial X10 Pro 4 TB SSD that worked perfectly yesterday, can barely be read by my Eversolo DMP-A6 after I updated its firmware today. I can't even access the folders on this SSD by using the Files menu on the left side of the app. The only way I could access files in my external SSD is through casting the Eversolo screen to my tablet/cell phone but even this works very sluggishly. Please make sure to fix this for the next update & please don't take too long to push the update. The majority of my listening I do is from local files on the SSD & it's such a pain to use it now.

Release notes here say "If you need higher sound quality, please use the Apple music official APP".. anyone know how to do this with the latest firmware? I just got my DMP-A8 yesterday and was surprised to see the native Apple Music support which is nice but I'm trying to figure out how to play hi-res from Apple Music on the device.
