New version v1.3.20 for DMP-A6/DMP-A8 release

FW v1.3.21 is coming soon

 

It looks like there is a 1.3.21 internal test firmware. This may never become a beta or stable release, just like the 1.3.05 internal version didn't.

 

They are at least working on fixing bugs

 

Under ‘Streaming’ on the A8 screen (scroll down), you first have to install Apple Music. It will then be available under Apps.

Open the app and login with your Apple login. In the top right click three dots and choose Settings. Under Audio you have to setup hi-res.

Hi, may I confirm if you are always using SPDIF output? Before update it works, but after update the volume does not change anymore when using EVC and no soud is output anymore? If so, does analog output ports work?

 

This is how it works for a 100-step volume control. The same is true for the volume control inside the DAC.
Shoud set it to above -40dB

 

Hello, I always use the SPDIF output (I don't know if it works with RCA after because it's not the problem here).
Today, the EVC works but on a scale of -100 to 0, I hear sounds only from -54 db (at the middle of the vumeter !). Before update, sound volume was from 0 to 15 and it was better represented.
On the Internet radio, today, I have no control at all over the sound volume. I can't increase or reduce the volume even if the EVC shows a changement.

Last time, on MP3 files, there was sound but no control over its volume either.

Sometimes there is no sound at all. It comes after about ten seconds or never.

 

It doesn't work for Internet radio

 

This update *seems* to be okay so far.

Was looking forward to some Screensaver options/improvements but oh well, maybe next update?

 

That's nice. When will we see full Hi-Res lossless quality in Apple Music? (I know it's probably on Apple's side, but I'm asking anyway).

 

Up until yesterday after booting i got the update/cancel screen. Didn't update. The update screen is disappeared, my firmware is still v1.2.98. The menu: settings update online: "checking, your software is up to date". I know via USB, but i never had to. Always got the update/cancel screen. In Eversolo.com/downloads i only can find the DAC-Z8/Z6.

Nice job Eversolo. A6 STILL doesn't recognize McIntosh DA2 DAC. When will this be corrected? It worked before the last two updates.

 

Thanks, found it. But i would prefer (as always done) online update instead zip/firmware/usb. Where did the update/cancel screen after boot go?

 

Perhaps it has been withdrawn by Eversolo? It seems to contain a lot of bugs. (As always)
Wish they would fix the bugs instead of adding new stuff all the time.

This update doesn't work for me. In the beginning, Apple Music worked, that is to say, my own library showed my albums in Apple Music, but they were mostly empty. Since yesterday morning, Apple Music no longer works, I am logged out and there is no way to log in again. I have already rebooted my device but to no avail!
