This commercial logic is not valid .
in fact, if they were serious about follow-up, i'd be more inclined to buy a more recent zidoo because i'd have understood that this brand was serious...
Right now, it's quite the opposite... this brand does very little follow-up, so my next device won't be zidoo....

 

I do have to agree; they are being extremely short sighted.

They could do a number of things - release updates with fixes or release the source code so that another dev/s can pick it up, provide instructions on how to compile ZDMC to a newer Kodi base version etc etc.

 

Please zidoo engineers make the z9x great again.. one last fw with everything (subtitles infos included) and may z9x continue its life as the perfect Media player..

I am sorry to abandon Zidoo and ZDMC, I am fond of the Kodi interface and currently would see as a replacement the Ugoos AM6B Plus sin only for a very spartan aesthetics that I am not very enthusiastic about, but its Amlogic S922XJ CPU and ARM Mali TM-G52 MP GPU, allows compared to Zidoo:
1- Profile 7 Dolby Vision single-track dual layer FEL support.
2- Profile 7 Dolby Vision dual-track dual layer FEL support
3- CMV4.0 support
4- True TV-LED

 

I'm a convert

 

Sadly they won't do anything there not even sorting out the new boxes There are much better units out there now days all very sad

 

If anything, I will build a wooden cabinet and put it inside.

 

where can i find the different with Z9X and Z9Xpro

I've been postponing buying the Z20 Pro, to replace my Z10 Pro, as I would only get a different box color and nothing else than the updated Android version. No recent firmware updates, no newer chipset... It appears that Zidoo just is abandoning their video players (and costumers).
I'm starting to see the competition also.

 

No they have been working on a new player they were never going to fix this range Try anyone else there are a few with blind faith that say there the best they are not!!!let's not forget the Z20Pro was flawed from the start SMB didn't even work to start with ! Don't buy anything untill it's proven it works

 

Just out of curiosity, what kind of reader are they working on?

It's something they should have done 6 months ago I bet it will be flawed again like I said Don't buy one untill the firmware works ! You will be told it's great by Die Hard fans Wait at least 3 months see all the reviews then make a choice

 

Given past experience it is best to wait with a stable enough firmware, I do not expect a model free of bugs, but at least minimized.

The old range were ok Z10Pro etc the replacement range was just rubbish from the beginning.we are now told the new super dooper 8k machine will blow everything away. But for most people we waited months for fixes for the Z20 Pro and it was never going to happen was it?? honestly people would like to be told the truth I feel a lot of people were mislead while they worked on this.
