I updated my Z2600 to the beta firmware v1.0.75_G. Afterwards, it turned out that the player can no longer display the Blu-ray menu for my only ISO, Top Gun: Maverick. The player briefly shows a blue spinning circle, and then the screen goes black. With firmware 1.0.52, the menu was displayed correctly. Are there any other users here who have experienced this problem, and how did you solve it?

Zidoo boxes have always been hit and miss with blu ray menus. They come and go!

    yes, hit and miss.

the new 4K UHD from Powerhouse Films: Les démoniaques (1974), cca 90GB.
old z9x - no problem with complete Blu-ray (BDMV) menu etc...
    z9xpro - nope. no go. :)
    eh.

1.0.86 internal test versions out there for multiple models now. perhaps we wont see a wider release of 1.0.85 and it will be 1.0.86 or later that gets the wider release.

An update to the very latest beta firmware 1.0.86 and subsequent reset to factory settings fixed the problem. The Blu-ray menu is now displayed again. I'm glad I didn't have to downgrade the firmware and will now stick with the current beta until the final version is released.

Hello Sanctrum, can you please explain to me the procedure to follow to edit the forced EDID for 3D compatibility, thank you

    Sure.
Just use AW EDID editor or Deltacast E-EDID editor and go to the sections as in the screen below:

From my LG TV experience it should be enough just to enable 3D sections... and "3D is Present" or 3D Structure All - "Present" checkbox depending on the tool that is used.

But you can experiment also with Frame Packing, Top and Bottom, Side by Side, etc...
In my case Z9x Pro is always using Frame Packing regardless of any setting enabled or disabled setting of the 3D structure.

I personally prefer the AW EDID editor - it has much more options to use. Deltacast is not showing all.

So the result might be similar to this:

Its been 4 weeks i do not have problem with Dune with Amlogic S928X-K/J . It has very smooth playback and Picture quality and clarity is awesome as it supposed to be and 1080p upscaling is jaw dropping. (out of the box with current firmware) 4:3 screen ratio can easily be converted to 16:9. Zidoo never did it. I waited for stable firmware quite long and now finally got rid of zidoo. very big disappointment.
