As you say you have installed 6.4.68 and running HT with no issues. Are you experiencing the other issues reported here such as subtitle positioning, clicking the More button in posterwall and part of the dialogue box to the right is cut off

 

Yes I can confirm that and reported it shortly after the firmware came out. The subtitle information is cut off on the right side.

 

I can get sound but no video with airplay. Anybody have any suggestions thanks.

 

Since several days (i'd say around January 21st) the Trakt watched status isn't working properly anymore. Now, when a movie or a show is watched, the Zidoo considers the content as watched, but no data is sent to Trakt. Manually setting the movie or show as watched on the Zidoo sends the status properly to Trakt. The current workaround is to manually set as unwatched then watched again to keep track of watched history, but it's far from being ideal.

 

So now after numerous freezing, loosing smb for roon I had to do a factory reset, and now after numerous tries with above instructions and four different memory sticks, my machine won’t flash, ANY ADVICE WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED, the online firmware is no good for me since I cannot get Roon to work properly, and music player is nowhere as good sounding as it was.

 

Thanks to futeko uk this has now been resolved.

 

What was the problem may be useful for others.

 

They sent me a link for the 88 firmware that worked via the screen usb upgrade, the back reset button method just would not work.

 

Need help. Is there anywhere can download the stock install image of v6.7.42 for Neo Alpha? Recently I occasionally failed to start up after update the v.6.7.88, only black off the screen after the Zidoo logo appeared.

Hence, I try to flash the install.img file V6.7.66. When flashing the stock image, the screen just black off even I left it over night after it shows install completed. Either it downloaded over here or Mcbluna, both are not working.
So I switch off the power and restart. Problem still the same but funny that it can load in if I press the remote controller Back button. Then the system freezes after few minutes.

That's why I would like to try to install v.6.7.42 but find nowhere.

I'm of the same opinion. It's okay that you have to wait a while for a new firmware, but it should include some improvements such as basic functions. Instead, we only get unimportant updates or bugs. We should make sure that at least the teething troubles are fixed.

 

Zido company abandoned those who bought "old" devices
The old version is full of bugs
All the updates and effort is invested in the new devices, for which they also release bad versions with many problems

that's the thing, they don't do much with new models either. I can tell because I bought x9s on pre-order. even 1000pro had more firmware updates on the way out. now new software only comes out on the eve of new models, so people think the company has gotten down to work. how many firmware updates have come out for 8K modules? rhetorical question. released, sold and forgotten.

 

Hi all, I think I had found the solution and sharing my finding.

For the last few days, I had tried to unplug the external connection one by one and flash the stock image file. And it on-off can load in but not stable.
Finally, it only works after I removed out the internal stock M2 SSD.

Now, all I can do, is to see how stable it is for these few days and maybe, try to replace a new SSD too. Will update later.

 

Evening all. I'm in the process of setting up with my Z9X.
Could somebody advise which is considered the best output format for 4k DV out of the following please:-
1) 3840x2160p @23hz RGB 8bits DV
2) 3840x2160 @60hz YUV420 10 bits ITU 709.

Since a few days ago, after copy new movie file into my Z1000 pro, but the HT can't recognize (unmatch) with the new movie file.
I already try to flash and upgrade into new firmware 6.4.68 but still can't
And now after reset, all movies has no Poster.

yes there is a problem with TMDB and Zidoo. I beleive they are working on it. More details in a few other posts
