That’s very old. To restore TMDB you need to install v4.3.52. Just download the file onto a memory stick and whilst on Medua Manager plug it in and Zidoo will find it and prompt you to install. Very straightforward and quick. I generally reboot afterwards but not strictly necessary.

Hi team. Got a zidoo z1000pro that i would like to user both to stream movies and music (attached to a dac). Cool.
Have flashed it in 6.4.42 then upgrade to 6.4.45G to keep usb audio support, cool.
Now just 2 basic question for this model please :
1- tidal : how to get tidal connect working using the zidoo as a tidal connect destination please? Have installed tidal from the google playstore, connected on my account but couldnt manage it from my phone (i dont see the zidoo as a tidal connect destination). No issue with qobuz, installing the qobuz app via playstore gives you a qobuz connect destination immediatly
2- netflix : as anyone used its zidoo like an amazon firestick deploying streaming apps like netflix, disney+.... from the google PlayStore on it please? Does it works and is it viable?

hi team again,

i m hosting my video on a nas and try to stream then on the ZIDOO Z1000 latest os.
long story short i'm seing that the zidoo network ethernet connectivity doesn't goes above 100 mbit per second (aka 12MB per second)
if the streamed file is 40GB or less, its enough.
but on a large 4K source of 60GB and above it lags and doesn't work correctly (would require to go to 150 to 200 mbits per second.

i have tested both streaming from nfs or smb source, same performance results despite having full 1 Gbits ethernet connectivity.

has anyone been able to streamed above 100 mbits with the zidoo Z1000 please?
maybe a better ethernet driver package or something available somewhere to improve connectivity performances? thanks a lot for your feedback.

 

I've always been able to stream the 200Mbps 4K Jellyfish demo without any issues all the way back to the 1295/6 devices. The 400Mbps one struggles a bit, but still plays. I've never come across any commercial content at any bitrate that won't play fluidly.

A lot of it comes down to network integrity and even the network cards on devices - you can see that by looking at throughput on older NAS boxes (some of mine are circa 2009 ish) vs newer devices on the same PC.

 

thanks for your reply. really wired on my side. if i connect a simple windows laptop to the same ethernet cable that is plugged on the zidoo, i reach easilly 300-400 mbits (both on the performance monitor of the nas and the received throughput on the windows laptop).

only when its the zidoo Z1000 pro that i see throughput shapping at 100mbits per sec max (shapped by the zidoo).
of course no issue if i connect an external drive on the zidoo, only with ethernet. not mentionning wifi here as the wifi interface on the zidoo Z1000 its absolutly terrible on the performance side!
there is no driver update possible on this machine eventually?

 

There are two issues with the previous version(s);
That weather application, when one tries to type their city in any character on the top line produced a number, not the letter.
Switching between "?123" and letters doesn't change anything. Both of those entries are reversed. "?123" is letters, the other are numbers .
If any of that made any sense. When I would delete the number and try again, same thing.
The 2nd & 3rd lines on the keyboard are fine since they don't have numbers connected to them unlike the top line.

I haven't updated to the July 2014 version yet as I have just received this. This is a Z10 Pro.

 

Can anyone confirm this problem? The gist: if you enable skipping of opening/closing credits in HT (arrows in the upper right corner), or simply switch to the next episode with the remote control, then the next episode of 4K video is output in 1080p. I noticed this relatively recently. Because AFR works, and we rarely look at the output information. If you just watch videos from Explorer, there is no such problem.

 

To add to my initial list, there now is a issue with powering off the Z10 Pro; every time you try to power off, it does, BUT it powers back up again (re-boot) every time. The ONLY way yo power off is to use the rear panel power switch!!
The remotes 'Power' button doesn't seem to respond and using the 'Power' button on the 'Home' page gets you that 'loop' of re-booting.

Then there is the issues with the HDMI input *yes, I use it, at least on the X10).

They need to concentrate on something other than that over rated HT. that Media Player works fine w/o all the unnecessary nonsense of those posters. Are you watching the movie or are you staring at some poster???

 

Have you set the preferred action of the power button in Settings? You can set it to either reboot or power off.

Yes, but it doesn't matter. that pop-up box keeps on showing. Setting it doesn't matter. I click the power button on the remote and the box disappears, nothing else. It's a endless loop.

The same thing is happening with my older X10, but on that I can click the power button on the home page and it does shut down unlike the that Z10 Pro which I now returned due to those issues.

The power button on the remote always worked, now it doesn't on both devices.

 

Hello Folks.

I am a bit late to the party tried to update my media hard drive with new content and it would not scrape poster artwork for the newest additions so I read the forums and only then learnt of the scraping issue as my dad has been very sick for the past year so haven't looked at the media player and didn't know the issue existed so I have the UHD3000 with the Realtex RTD1619DR and updated with this file RTD1619_v4.3.52.apk so then with reading the forums I learnt there is another download to update the Interface of the Zidoo to New version v6.4.68 for my UHD3000 only problem when I click on the link it won’t download or should I say clicking the link does not allow me to download this file so is this update available for the UHD3000. Can anyone point me to where I would be able to download this update, thank you all in advance. Sorry please disregard the download problem used Firefox and it downloaded funny Chrome or Brave does not allow the download for me anyway success.

I have just updated my UHD3000 with the new firmware and poster pack to say I'm impressed is an understatement as everything is working even my preview on the poster wall is working as previously it was hit and miss, all my unmatched new added titles automatically updated out of 32 titles only fear the walking dead season 8 failed to add the correct cover art work so I added it manually and I didn't need to do anything else so that's a first as well, suppose this will be the last big update for the Zidoo UHD3000 anyway just wanted to show my gratitude to you and the people who work behind the scenes at Zidoo for making this update happen even my weather app is working which never worked might not sound a big deal to have the weather app working it is a handy item to see my local weather while on the Zidoo. Fantastic all round update experience went like clock work and just as advertised.

Friends, when I download the file for the Zidoo Z10 Pro, it comes in ZIP format. Do I have to unzip it to update the firmware? Or do I run it from the ZIP file within Zidoo? How do I perform the update? Thank you.
