I use network playback without stuttering or video freezing, however I use the Android Emby app (not the Zidoo version)

I have tested the Star Wars Skeleton Crew series, Episode 5, minute 8:00 approx, where there are several full screen pans.

    1) DV output configuration as DV
In the 3 Led TV modes, micro cuts occur during panning.
Only in LLDV mode everything works fine.
    2) DV output configuration as HDR
In the 4 modes everything is played correctly.

The tests are done several times, to verify the information.

As has been mentioned with previous firmware, my z3000 pro isn't remembering the front display panel display brightness setting after waking up from sleep. I have it set to dimmed, but it will boot up to full brightness and never correct itself unless you click on dimmed again or I suspect a reboot might fix.

Blenky, as other have also suggested that for some strange reason streaming data from a Nas or Pc gives problems with certain users, whereas
    previous generation players worked fine.

So it might be smb or windows related but it could be even more complicated.

I have a 8tb red wd in my z3000pro and a 8 tb wd Gold in my PC which is connected with a 25meter Cat5 kabel to the z3000pro, which gives me
    not stutter of freezes sofar.

So concluding, apart from doggy data or corrupt files resulting in bad viewing results, the dev. in china will have to further test if indeed smb / windows in
conjuction with the new chipset is causing this issue to occur.

But this usb stick test proved that in your case the problem did not occur.

Yes - I've already passed this bug onto the devs - it seems that after an indeterminate length of time to player goes into a weird standby mode such that it only takes about 7 seconds to boot afterwards and as you say, the display reverts to Bright even when the menu setting is still Dimmed.

    A reboot fixes it.

Indeed this is an issue. I've reported recently how the Zidoo also forgets the AI settings after resuming from sleep, where it appears disabled in the UI but is actually on; exactly the same as the front panel brightness. These boxes seem to struggle loading settings correctly and I suspect is at the root of many issues users experience.

This is the sleep issue just noted. Has this been reported to the devs @Markswift2003 ?

As stated above, yes, and it will be reiterated in my report going out tonight.

Yes - it looks like this standby problem screws up more than just the front display.

Thanks Mark. I wasn't sure if you'd reported the AI issue as well as the display issue. Much appreciated

Just to confirm - it only does that after the box falls asleep on its own when left on for a day or so?

As I said earlier, I have used several different USB "docks" with different hard drives with different ports and they ALL do the freeze bit.

I also cleared mine in a "fix attempt". It still is freezing up while sound continues.

That's correct. Also of note is that there are two issues
    - The Zidoo forgetting my settings after sleep
    - The wild artefacts visible on DV content with the AI setting enabled

They should both be fixed, but given that AI is unnecessary to begin with, fixing the first issue is the preferred approach

Do you have custom EDID set ?
Ive seen the loss of EDID issue with this range (same bug introduced in the Pro range ) and its 99 perc sorted by setting a custom EDID once you have settings the way you want

My pro3000 also now loses its connection to the hdmi port and requires restarting. That is new with this FW.

Do you have custom EDID set thou ?

Nope, and it never ever happened before this FW. Also, when I want to pause, sometimes pressing ok works other times the pause/play button must be used. Other times it is the other way around. I am using a Sony Bravia9. It should not require a custom EDID.
To be clear, I love my Zidoo and these, so far, are niggling issues for me. I think how one reports and addresses the issues on this forum matters.

No none of them should ,but theirs been a carry over bug from the Pro range ,where EDID will occassionally be randomly changed.
Setting Custom EDID once you have settings as required will 99 percent fix this issue
It has to be set correctly thou or it isnt actually on ,and i forget atm correct order, lol

And yes ,ive noticed the occassional ,Cant use OK to pause ,since .80 came ,its very randome thou ,not been enough yet to tie it down to any particular media type
