From a discussion today with Simon :

Zidoo announced to Futeko that the shipment of the first batch is imminent... but did not wish to provide a precise date.

We can just hope that "imminent shipment" for Zidoo means within 24-48 hours, and not in a week or more...

I hope that other dealers such as Stassen in the Netherlands will also be supplied promptly!

In fact it all depends on how they come from CHINA...by plane or by boat???
The deadline will not be the same!

Obviously by plane! Otherwise it would take one to two months...

    Hello @Markswift2003,

Do you know the real data transfer speed via Gigabit LAN? Is it higher than currently at Z9X Pro (60MB/s)?
    Thanks

@Markswift2003 Hey how is HDMI CEC doing on new boxes? Especially with AVR in between TV and Zidoo player?

I am definitely getting Zidoo Z9X 8K, this Music V8.0 player looks fantastic. I am already redoing network in my apartment.

Maybe not too bad tbh, the original ETA was 30 July, so perhaps it's just back to that date (and fingers crossed it's not later than that). Meanwhile I've got new FW to install on my Z2000 Pro :)

Thanks...I think this might be something I wanna try. Ill see about picking up a HDFury. the Zidoo will most likely be the only device/input I care to use this for so one of the lower end HDFury should suffice.

My AVR is a Marantz Cinema 30.
    Projector is JVC RS1100
    Zidoo will be a Z30...

I looked thru the guides and I believe I would follow the: Using Vertex 2 for LLDV on HDR10 TVs ??

I use the 3000uhd for both movies/music, but this question is music focused.

Currently, connect via HDMI to Anthem 90 and stream music via local Synology/Qobuz. I use Roon and know that the new models are not yet certified.

Looking at the new devices, which is best for music? I don't require internal storage or analog playback. Will the 8000 still be the best or one of the other models will meet my use case with same performance? It sounds like the second HDMI for both 8000/z3000 is music focused?

You need that 2nd HDMI DSD/Audio-Only port for 2 cases:
    - To get DSD output via HDMI with a matching AMP
    - To split Audio (to the AMP) and Video (To the TV directly) to bypass Video format limitations inflicted by the AMP (not passing 4K. 8K, DV, HDR10+ etc).

Not a clue - CEC is the work of the devil and should never be used.

Yep - Music 8 is awesome. Improvements to make, especially for large libraries (mine is over 120k and rising) but very few bugs and a paradigm shift over MP7.
