Came across another video file that won't play (stops after 1-2 seconds).

    easyupload.io/x9uo2e
    easyupload.io/odcryp (previously reported)

At first I used the latest stable firmware version when I had this playback issue.

I then updated to beta v1.1.47 to see if it fixes the issue. It does not, I'm still unable to play these two files reliably. However, one thing seems to have changed. If I repeatedly try to play these files, it seems like the file will play one out of five attempts approximately. I don't know what causes the file to play, don't have steps to reproduce it.

I've tried enabling or disabling VS10 for SDR, it makes no difference.

Also tried enabling or disabling Match Resolution. Either way the video playback fails. However, when Match Resolution is disabled, I can briefly see the video during the 1-2 seconds that the video plays, but then playback fails anyway.

    I agree with blenky
PQ going from my z9x pro to my z30 8k is very definitly an improvement

  3. Does vc1 and avi play unlike the 4k version ?

Downloaded both files and can replicate the issue. No idea what is wrong with these files. Maybe it's the audio codec - Opus 2?

Comparing my Z9 8k with my Z2600 the Z9 holds the edge in PQ on my LG G3.

im working my way thru my SG Atlantis blurays atm .....using makemkv to make each episode so say 7 8 gig an epi
Compared to watching these via my 4k pana uhd bluray palyer ,ripping and watching them via the Z30 8k is just day and night improvement in quality plus the added VS10 bonus

  8. I am sorry, I meant I can’t play avi or vc1 on my z9k pro, I was hoping I can play those files since the ads say it should be able to play. I was hoping the 8k version z9x can play it.

if you can link to one of each i can d/l and check for you

Yes something wrong here. The files play fine using my LG TV internal media player!

  11. Yes, it works when I play it first and when I go to resume the video it stutters. I tired 2 fast 2 furious vc1 codec blu ray and other blu ray with vc1. I think someone said the same about Austin powers vc1 1999 movies as well

  12. Weird, these devices should be playing these codecs that were advertised to play and are not.

I just tested it on my Z9X Pro to another Pana oled and the file plays fine there as well ,with no audio synch issues

    Soon.

It's Chinese Mid Autumn Festival at the moment so I assume everyone's off for a couple of days.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had Festivals instead of Bank Holidays...

Hmm... I vote for bank holidays in addition to festivals ! :D

    I am a new user of zidoo Z3000Pro 8K. I also use oppo UDP203. I have 2 questions:

    1. I have a problem with recognizing movies (scrapping) in AVCHD format.

In oppo the path to the movie is:
    moviename\AVCHD\BDMV

In turn, zidoo correctly identifies the movie only when the directory structure is as follows:
    moviename\BDMV

Do you have a solution for this?
I cannont skip the AVCHD directory, because oppo will not play the movie.

I know that I can change all movie name manually, but in my case it is over 400 movies ...

    2. Do you have a way to change the size of PGS subtitles on AVCHD movies? It occurs in the zidoo menu, but when I make a change, zidoo exits the movie to the main menu. There is no problem with SRT subtitles.
