Sideloading (streaming Music and other) APP's: Aggregated list!

Another well working app is "Subsonic", can be downloaded at the Aptoide alternate app location. Seems to work with the EOS engine of the DMP A6, too, because hi res files are supported. @Nice Monkey, if you like you can add it to your list, thanks!

Yes, all it took was a mention from over at the Zidoo forum re the new 8k players im guessing that share Eversolo firmware and as such can side load the same apps

 

Has anyone successfully used the DI.FM Electronic Music app? Installed the latest APK and immediate crashes for me on every open.

 

Well, I got DI.FM to work!! I chose an old version (4.7.2 8137)! Works just fine!!

 

When I got to the ip address of the DMP-A6 with the mentioned port I just get a blank white screen, am I doing something wrong?

 

It should be the IP-address of your Eversolo.

i sideloaded pandora onto my new dmpa6 and it operates solely from the screen and not from either the eversolo control app, nor from the pandora app.. am guessing now after a dim lightbulb flashed briefly that this is to be expected?…thx

 

Correct, sideloaded apps work that way.

However, you can control your A6 screen inside the Eversolo Control app via the ‘Cast’ mode.

 

I presume that it is safe to install APKs downloaded from APKPure?
i.e. https://apkpure.com/bandcamp/com.bandcamp.android

I was new to Andriod and concerned about viruses/etc, for apps downloaded from the internet...

 

Well, as with anything on the internet, it is at your own risk.

But I believe many of us on here use APKpure. Just watch all the ‘Download now’ ads on their site that try to lure you to external sites. It’s obviously important to click the right link

 

Has anyone sideloaded an artwork android app to apply missing artwork on your library hard drive? If so, did it work?

I got to about 33,000 track titles before the library of my DMP-a6 stopped adding them for search purposes. I can still manually search via the "FILES" menu to find the additional track titles. Strangely if I play a track that the library search function can find, then use "View Artist" the system can see the tracks and albums it apparently couldn't find in the initial search. Go figure that out.....

 

At this moment I have 71.881 tracks loaded on the internal SSD of my DMP-A6 (MP3 and FLAC).

1. On the SSD I have created folders per genre: 1. Electronic, 2. Popular, 3. Classical, 4. Lounge and 5. Trance.
2. The aforementioned folder structure on the SSD of my DMP-A6 resides in the root of the SSD, meaning that I have 5 libraries to maintain.
3. In every aforementioned folder I have created a folder per artist.
4. In every artist folder I have created folders per album.
5. Every album folder contains the tracks of that specific album.
6. Of course, all my tracks are very carefully tagged with the program Tag&Rename.

In total I have 8.075 albums on my SSD at the moment. I use this exact same folder structure of the SSD in my DMP-A6 on my desktop PC as well. I use the program SyncBackFree to synchronize my desktop with my DMP-A6 every time I add an album to my music collection on my desktop PC, which happens almost on a daily basis. Synchronizing happens wirelessly through my home network (only the DMP-A6 is wired connected to my router).

Finally, after synchronizing my desktop PC with my DMP-A6, I update the library on my DM-A6, but only the library that has received an add to my music collection. Sometimes I add music to more than one library, meaning that I have to update all the libraries that have received an add to my music collection.

This all works flawlessly, from the very beginning that I configured the DMP-A6.

The only gripe I have is that updating the library takes a lot of time due to the size of my music collection. But dividing it in 5 libraries does save time when not all of them have to be updated.

Unfortunately I realize that I did not explain myself well enough.
What I wanted to say is how to listen to all of my approximately 50,000 tracks in random.
Otherwise I have no problem selecting all the artists, albums, tracks.
But what I want is to listen to all 50,000 in random.

In the Eversolo Control app click ‘Library’ and then the three dots, then ‘play all music’. It might take a few seconds before it starts. My 12000 tracks takes about 5 seconds to load…

 

In an earlier firmware it would load all my music but I see now that the play queue just says 2000 tracks.

Moreover with the screenshots I can say that I have exactly the same problem.
Now I hope that the correction will be very very fast because I use my DMP6 almost always in random mode;
So please repair my toy quickly Mr. Zidoo.
