When playing a song in apple music, I am stuck with a mini player and VU meters. How do I get rid of the VU meters. How do I make the player full size.

 

On the new Z3000 Pro, if using the auto setting for fan control, the fan speed fluctuates between no and high speed most the time, which can be annoying. The unit seems very cool. Since I have no HDD installed, would it be ok to use the constant low setting for fan speed or maybe turn it off completely?

Using a manual setting is possble Just take out the HDD after use and check the temperature by mere sesnse.It may get warm but not hot.

 

Hi, my 8k seems turn off/shut down completely whenever I press power off/on on remote. How can I set it to sleeping mode? I tried to hold power button and there are only shutdown and restart options.

 

Does Zidoo Z9X 8K support Dolby True-HD and DTS:X decoding to multichannel PCM (vs 2.0 as before) in audio settings?

It's a licencing issue - it's just not cost effective these days to add it since it's rarely needed. The SOC is perfectly capable, it's just DTS and Dolby want their pound of flesh to do it.

 

Hi, I purchased the z9x 8k but unfortunately when I access my Lacie-Cluodbox NAS it asks me for user and pass but then it doesn't let me enter the Family folder where I have my contents (unknown error). I connected the vpr jvc nz9 with the supplied cable and 8k files but unfortunately the output video is always 4k. It also doesn't read 3D iso. The old z9x didn't give me these problems. Can anyone give me some advice? Thank you

 

If there are no credentials, access the share using Media Center and tick "anonymous".

Can you post your EDID.

3D MVC is not supported by the SOC.

 

Hi, I was trying things out and found that the hue value doesn't work or doesn't change the image as it should. I tried on my phone and it doesn't change and I tried in the settings menu and it does change in the test images, but then even if you set a value of 0/100 the movies and the menu are not affected.

 

Thank you. edid is set with custom at number 4. (4k60Hz BT.2020 HDR10+) . In reference to the NAS, I entered the credentials and it shows me the two folders "admin" and "Family" but then when I log in I get an "unknown error". I know for sure that with the zidoo z9x from before the nas

Ok, that's why you only get 4K - those EDIDs are all 4K ones. Why are you using a custom EDID - and particularly an HDR10+ one - that can serve no purpose at all?

Can't really help with you NAS as I've no idea of the setup of a Lacie Cloudbox other than to say as long as the shares are set up correctly and the correct authentication (or lack of it) is used, it should access it with no problems.

 

in fact all Edids are 4k, so how can I see in 8k? Even if I don't check custom, it still doesn't work. can you help me? For the Lacie I haven't changed anything, changing the reader from the z9x to the z9x 8k doesn't let me log in anymore. I await your thanks

 

interesting. Since i have a LG OLED, and use DTS(X) frequent with PCM, since LG does not accept DTS.

So, if i have tv shows with DTS, and the setup is MP zidoo 8K> LG Oled, no sound?

Have you tried connecting as anonymous (no username or password) over SMB for your shares? I do this and never have an issue with access.

 

hi just to let you know im getting the same problem has you i cant acess my nas just keeps coming up with unknown error ,but when i put my old box back in the z10 ive no problem acsessing my nas , ive tried resetting the z30 but still no joy if you find a solution please let me know
