I am very happy with my brand new Z30 Pro that replaced my older Z10.

The Zidoo is connected to an HDfury Vertex 2 and to a JVC projector. When using the EDID 4K60HZ 400nit BT.2020 LLDV what should be the "best" settings in the HDfury for:

    Max Luminance [nits]:
    Min Luminance [nits]:
    MaxCLL [nits]:
    MaxFALL [nits]:

Many thanks in advance and regards!

    I’d do:

    Max Luminance [nits]: 400
    Min Luminance [nits]: 0.0001 *
    MaxCLL [nits]: 400
    MaxFALL [nits]:200

    * minimum possible

Thanks so much for the tips! It is working very fine as I still get great contrast, but without clipping the highlights!

Yes - 400nits allows the DV composer to do more of the work. I think it's a good balance.

Yeah I'd easily pay few tens of bucks more for this. Just for the convenience of it. My workaround for this is currently using an HDMI switch. I might try to setup a transcoding system but that's alot of work.

Hope Zidoo will sell these options someday since this is one of the few advantages other competitors have over them (that and long term software updates). If I ever switch to a Dune or another device, this will be the reason - I'm otherwise very happy with my purchase.

Hi all, first time with zidoo and it has been amazing. I do have a question regarding screen sizing adjustment in the display settings. I have attached an image and wondering if I can centre the image as it shows a little more to the right for screen adjustment. I am using LG C2, and this screen adjustment only happens on zidoo, no other device has this problem.
It is not a big issue, just a little ocd in me wanting to center align it. Lol.

Apologies for 3 image uploads, it shows only once when making this message on mobile.

Hi everyone. I ask you experts for clarification regarding a doubt I have always had: I have all my films archived on a 12Tb HDD installed in the internal slot of the Zidoo (Z1000 before and Z3000 now). Now I was thinking of expanding the storage by connecting an external HDD (8Tb with power supply) to one of the two USB ports. The doubt I have is this: do films played from an external HDD connected to the USB port have the exact same audio/video quality as films played from the Sata HDD in the internal slot? Thanks for the help.

The video/sound quality is exactly the same either from USB SATA/HDD, NAS or internal SATA drives, via wifi or Ethernet wired.

I have 2 HDD in the UHD8000, and 2 self powered 5xUSB boxes (YOTTAMASTER) connected via USB and all is working like a charm.
    Superb image quality.
I've never observed any differences of quality

Yes - just to to what @Visconti12 said - there is absolutely no difference whatsoever regardless of where the content is stored.

Just got my first Zidoo this week (my first media player ever), the UHD8000, and I'm really digging it so far. I've been remuxing lots of 4k discs with older audio tracks. Is there any way for the Zidoo to properly show the track labels as I've saved them with MKVToolnix instead of just showing the codecs? My apologies if this has been discussed before; I tried searching and didn't see anything recent.

    Sorry, no, I’m afraid not.

Thanks for the quick reply. That's disappointing.

Another question re the HDMI outputs: I initially set it up to send both video and audio to my receiver but when I tried playing the beginning of "Edge of Tomorrow," the infamous bass drop in the first chapter was completely missing (the rest of the audio was playing fine, only those ultra-low frequencies were missing). Full audio was restored only when I used the two HDMI outputs to separately send video to my tv directly and only audio to the receiver. I've never encountered anything like that before. Any ideas if I missed something in the settings?

Nevermind. I figured it out. I had to switch the audio out setting to Raw instead of Auto.

    Hi All,

I'm new to all this Media Player thing. I am trying to setup LLDV on my Epson LS500.

I've set Custom EDID to 4k60Hz 400 nit BT. 2020 LLDV, HDR options to Advanced and everything set to HDR, Then Dolby VS10 for everything.

And I am not sure if I am setting it up right.

Also there is a mention of Dolby Vision output mode which I can't see.

I am at a loss here. Can you please help?

    @Markswift2003
I hope you can give me your thoughts on setting up the Z9X 8K player to use with my Sony VW520ES projector

The HDMI port is limited to 10.2Gb/s bandwidth instead of the more up to date standard of 18Gb/s which supports higher frame rates.
This means thar most Ultra HD Blu-ray content will playback at 10-bit with 4:2:2 color at best settingsettings. No 4K option at 60hz either. ( which is fine)

I would like to use the Dolby Vision V10 to convert everything (SDR+HRD) as it seems to improve on the colours quite a bit over the Sony’s own upscaling.
Currently using the Z9X, but upgrading to the Z9X 8K version soon.

I am not sure how to set this so these 2 can work together so I can get the most out of the Sony.
    Thanks for your time.
