Not on videos that are VC-1 encoded. On .95 once they start to play choppy there's no fixing it. And they used to play correctly on a previous firmware. Does Zidoo do regression testing at all?

I'm experiencing exactly the same issues, wondering if by factory resetting it from the menu would revert the zidoo to the "first" firmware

Yes, it does. it reverts to latest factory firmware release, not a beta one.

    No! Firmware is not reverted.

Sure? We're talking about RTD SoC boxes. (Fortunately I've never done it in my three boxes)

I tried yesterday the process for my Zidoo Z2000 PRO following the guide for it (I can not put the url link).

No success. The USB stick was formatted to FAT32, inserted into USB3.0 inserted the pin and the Zidoo logo appeared without doing anything (yes, I renamed the file to install.img (I also checked the checksum within the USB stick, just to be sure, the copy went well).

I guess it is not "so easy to do"

One question, I'm formatting from my Mac, should I use MBR or GUID for formatting my usb?

I’m starting to experience choppy playback again. Really breaks the immersion of the film when I have to pause or rewind/fast forward a bit to clear it.

Think I’ll have to read how to rollback the firmware

Yeah this bug is the most irritating one that needs fixing.

Just to go back to points I made right back of the beginning of this thread - if this issue is causing constant problems then you probably need to look elsewhere for the reasons behind what you're seeing.

This particular bug is extremely intermittent. Extremely.

    I have a Z9X Pro on test 24/7 (alongside a Z9X 8K) and I haven't seen this bug since late 2023 from memory.

Despite people's perception of the perfection of their setup, most playback problems are result of either bad files or bad delivery, so if you have day to day issues with playback you need to look beyond this thread because this isn't the bug you're looking for.

I have it daily with every movie/show that is longer than 50 min. It starts to happen between 40 - 50 minutes. That it is not replicable for you does not mean it isn't there.
I have approx 1000 movies and shows. If i use anything else besides Zidoo (VLC, Infuse on Apple TV, Dune 4k, Dune 8k) it is never choppy. Only with Zidoo Z9X Pro (I changed 5 hdmi cables, I tried 4 different tv's, I tried different hdmi ports, different charger).
I brought this device to a friend of mine who is an encoder who remuxes for a well known private tracker and even he said that the Zidoo is choppy eventually.

Maybe the device itself is faulty if you claim that this particular bug is extremely intermittent and everybody that has this bug should refer to your post and ask support to replace it.

    You completely missed the point.

I am just debunking your claim that this particular bug is extremely intermittent.

This is exactly my issue! Pausing and resuming fixes it. It has no stutter or whatever.

While this might be true for most of the other users, it is not in my case.
