New version 1.2.50/1.2.80 for DMP-A6/DMP-A8 release

Yes, I like your suggestions on the other thread. Those would all be nice to have.

I’ve now started a free Roon trial and decided to pre-order a Nucleus One. Currently just running Roon Core on a labtop.

I have the (third party) TV Remote app running on my Apple TV 4K giving me full screen ‘now playing’ info / album art.

As someone who listens to mostly new releases and enjoys reading about bands/artists/genres, this is a very good service.

With the A8 now being Roon Ready, it all works very smoothly.

 

Before on v1.2.50 when the eversolo app started there was an option to cast the screen of the DMP-A6 (as displayed on the DMP-A6) to the screen of the tablet and that screen occupied the whole of the screen of the tablet. I no longer see that screen and the only version of the screen I see is as below.
The QR scanner software on the tablet allows me to scan the QR code displayed on the DMP-A6 screen to link to the download of the latest application to work with the DMP-A6 in set up mode. As you are probably aware with new firmware releases there is often an update to the app you instal on your remote device (e.g. smartphone or tablet).

 

Have you tried the 4 little arrows in the top right corner?

 

Same problem here, except I don't get the 4 arrows in upper right corner.

 

It must be a difference between Android tablets and the iPad. On iPad, you can have the ‘full screen’ view.

 

I think that is the case. I have Android devices and there are no "four arrows" on the screen.

 

can state that for ipad - @Bergholdt, which app exactly is used on your apple TV for giving the survey on your TV? Looked for remote TV, but only remote controls are listed... - thanks in advance!

 

I don't get it. You say you are on Android, but in the attached image in your previous post, the four arrows are clearly there?
What am I missing here?

There are no arrows on Android. And there is no Full Scene Mode on Android.

 

I shamelessly stole a @Bergholdt screenshot to illustrate the point of the version of the screen I was seeing rather than clutter up the post with my less than articulate description.

 

There used to be. It worked under V1.2.50 firmware. Is this another example of one step forward, two steps back? I used full screen cast mode a lot as it was my preferred method of navigating my way around the device.

 

Have you tried tapping the double headed arrow top left on your Android app? This should let you switch between portrait and landscape modes. Casting with portrait mode on an Android device should let you full screen cast or as near as damn it.

Have seen the 3-steps forward + 2-steps backward a lot with FW's.
They are just too eager to implement new goodies. Getting it all fixed comes secondary.
Features do sell is the motto it seems (and they may even be right there).

 

I have an android tablet and have never seen the full screen cast feature, not even on 1.2.50. I even asked for this feature to be added on my request thread.
As far as I'm concerned ALL of the screens should have an option to be full. Browsing the album covers would look so much nicer without that left-hand option bar. I requested it to be collapsible but nothing yet!

 

@mirror Does the DMP-A6 works with the Holo Audio Cyan 2 DAC via USB?

The Pioneer U05S doesn't work.
