Try to compare how 2 identical songs sound from both services and tell me how many taps and how much time you used to do that? Using the internal apps is just when you have absolutely no other options + there isn't Spotify app on the device! It's pretty good tbh with the only problem being that you don't see the track history. Other than that I like it a lot.
Hi all I bought DMP-A6 back in September 2023. I was very satisfied till few days ago. Streamer developed problem at start up and will not boot anymore. Logo is showing for a moment and then boot procedure is starting again. It is in boot loop. I tried to enter android recovery in order to wipe cache and data partitions, but never succeeded to enter recovery mode at all. Recommended method is on support_guide - How to Wipe Both Cache and Data under Eversolo Recovery Mode. >>> 1.While DMP-A6 is in the power-off state, use a fine needle to press and hold the restore button at the back of the device, then press the knob on front panel to power on.<<< I tried to contact them by e-mail, but to no avail. Please advice.
This has been shared here but I can't remember who did it (maybe you were looking at the same one). I haven't tried any of these steps since luckily I haven't had such serious issues so far. Hope it helps!
Hi, I went through the same ordeal, Keep the above setup instructions handy and follow them Download the ORIGINAL (do not use the betas ones) 1.2.50 or newer on a thumb drive in the original zip format Reboot and update the software from the thumb drive, it doesn`t matter if it is an old one you need the unit stable and working then it will update itself If you fail keep trying with more than one version again do not use betas(the zip may be corrupted) Eventually, you will get it done! Good luck
@Steftyx Thank you for your answer. My problem is that streamer is in boot loop. So I cant re flash firmware. I tried to boot in android recovery as per their instructions on support page, but never succeeded. >>> 1.While DMP-A6 is in the power-off state, use a fine needle to press and hold the restore button at the back of the device, then press the knob on front panel to power on. <<< At the moment, I am waiting for return form from info@sonority-audio.nl and then we will see ...
Sounds strange Make sure you (gently)keep the reset button pressed for at least a few seconds it should put you in the recovery state then you can clean reset and install (from a USB) otherwise, it may be a loose contact Have you dropped the unit or shaken it a bit hard?
It all began recently. Several times it looped boot procedure and then booted normally and now it is in permanent boot loop. When FW version 1.2.50 came out, streamer updated itself (OTA update). Never tried any beta versions of fw. For the past few days tried to enter recovery mode unsuccessfully. Thank you
My take at this point is to bork the "Update" try betas and testbed unplug the unit from any device and willingly bork the update even halfway it`s a phone logic you`re dealing with how about the same vanilla droid because it sounds like a virus to me Mess with it until it runs flat (that`s my kind of fun) By the way, it has a 5-year warranty and maybe you should use it instead of "my logic"
Yesterday updated on my A6 ME http://music.eversolo.com/dmp/ota/DMP_A6/v1.2.95/DMP-A6_R_v1.2.95_202405312227_ota- package.zip
No, the official Eversolo account on Facebook mentioned the newest release will be 1.2.96, not 1.2.95 I am asking for 1.2.96
OK, looked like typo from your side, I couldn't distinguish that, there would an official, newer firmware in place
Is it such a problem that the mirror should make a new thread here called something like New version...1.2.96? How much time will it take? 2 minutes with a download link for those who want to upgrade offline.
It would be better if a thread for the updates were pinned and only the updates were announced there. With download links and change logs - without comment function. The forum is becoming more and more confusing. No concept.
I agree. It has over time become a bit of a dog's breakfast. However having said that some of the disarray is in part due to the participants posting questions on subjects not relevant (in some cases) to the thread topic. I wholeheartedly support a pinned topic (or topics) related to firmware updates as suggested by @Mister L If members discover issues and want to report any bugs with a particular firmware release then start a new topic with a title something like "V1.2.xx Bug Reports" where members can post about any issues related to that specific firmware release rather than scattering the information in existing threads which IMHO make finding that information difficult. In addition it would give members who like to try out beta versions an opportunity to comment about them before others download and install these versions and end up with unwanted issues before they are addressed in official releases. Thoughts???
Just updated OTA. Update appears to have fully downloaded and successfully updated. Now stuck on verifying. Is this a bug in a bug update? Any advice greatly appreciated before I press any buttons! TIA.
