It is not stuck on verifying... it detected a mismatch in the checksum.
You need to download it again.

 

Here, it updated and installed normally.

Thanks for the, in my case, fine working album sorting function.

Please fix the SAMBA server, because in the past, he was not the fastest, but provided a stable connection.
Now, he is still not fast, but unstable. Looses connection or just freezes the connection. Client is a Mac.

 

I'm wondering why as well. It might eliminate all of the threads that members are posting about the new firmware .

 

They used to do this. Make a new master pinned thread that went to the top each time firmware got released. Then they got lazy about it last year and haven't kept up with it consistently since. Seems like such an easy thing to do.

Unfortunately it's just one of many things that has caused my excitement and interest in Eversolo to drop immensely. I certainly can't recommend the A6 or Eversolo to a good friend.

not updating a forum with pinned threads on firmware updates isn't a big issue (to me). I'd much prefer them post new firmware on their website. At least they are continuing to update the firmware to improve operation/user experience and add new features (whether or not some are useful is subject for debate). A lot of other manufacturers may do 1 or 2 firmware updates, if that, and call it quits.

 

I agree that the communication or, more accurately, the lack of it, has become really frustrating. What little there is seems to be disseminated through ASR for no good reason that I can discern. A simple acknowledgement every now and again that an issue is recognised and being addressed would go a long way.

I don’t agree that the A6 is a bad piece of kit - anything but, but the initial rosy-glow/goodwill is certainly becoming tarnished … and I was one of the biggest Eversolo fan-boys! A great shame and so unecessary/simple to remedy.

 

I prefer to use my DMP-A6 in full screen cast mode, but even with the latest matching app it just won't switch to this mode. Yes, I have tried it on several Android smartphones and a tablet, so I've pretty well much eliminated them as the problem. Sometimes the app locks up but other than the QR code scanner it's the only app (other than the default apps) installed on the tablet. Plenty of free memory and all the other default apps work perfectly. For me it's just become a frustrating POS to use. I certainly hope eversolo gets these issues resolved. Personally, I'm not interested in any new features, I just want the ones it started out with working reliably and stable. If they add any more features an ability to roll back the firmware would be a good one.

 

Aside from a few issues the way the forum is maintained I really have no complaints about the DMP-A6. It has worked quite well and is trouble free in daily use. I've recommended it many times and will continue to do so.

 

What do you mean that it won't swtich to this mode? How are you trying it because I've never ever had this mode fail. On some emulators it gets into freeze after some time of inactivity and just needs to be restarted to start working again.
Why are you talking about a QR scanner, what does that have to do with the casting option?
Are you entering the IP manually if the automatic find function doesn't work(it never works for me)?

From the way that you wrote your post, I'm getting the impression that you're mixing up things between connecting to the device and casting it!

 

I've never seen the cast in full screen. I always have the options listed down the left hand side of the screen. How do you get cast to go full screen?

 

There isn't a full screen cast mode. The cast is in a window inside the app itself but unfortunately it never gets bigger, I wish it did. On the phone it is in full screen but on a tablet it is inside a portion of the app.

 

If you use the android app in portrait display mode, then when you Cast and rotate your device physically to go landscape, the cast screen is full size essentially, just the tiny x dismiss symbol top right. If you are in landscape display mode in your app, then the left hand menu will always be there.

 

Didn't know that. Seems a strange way of doing it though, you would think if you're using a tablet in landscape mode that it would be full screen by default.

Cast mode is a copy of the A6/A8 screen. The A6/A8 screen is 16x9 in resolution. Most tablets (and iPads) are not. Or am I misunderstanding your issue?

Maybe the term "full screen" is wrong. Just removing that left panel as in your second image, that's all I want. I've asked for that left panel to be collapsible/hideable but no-one else seems to agree with me. It would make the whole browsing experience much better for the album art.

I guess, you are using an Android tablet? The development of the Android tablet app was started ‘much’ later than the iPad version.
