Thank you very much for the help, I have already done it just as the link you posted says. Currently I have firmware version v1.0.52, now can I go directly to 1.0.75?
Could you help me how to obtain the 1.0.75 file?
    Thank you

Zidoo 9X Pro, software version 1.0.95. After about 10 minutes of playing a movie, the Zidoo performs a reset, and both the red "standby" light and the display light up simultaneously. I've never seen anything like this before. When I press Power Up/Down on the remote, the device reboots. The hard drive with the movies is connected via USB 3, and until this software update, everything was fine. The same hard drive connected to a laptop (with the same movie) does not show any file errors.

What could be causing this reset? I read on the 9X 8K forum that such spontaneous device resets also occur there. Perhaps it's just a coincidence.

Z9X Pro reproducible bug report: Movie "The Painter (2024)" packed in MKV (V4 / 11,8 Gb / 23,976 FPS / mkvmerge v10.1.1.1 ('To Drown In you') 64bit / libebml v1.3.4 + libmatroska v1.4.5): Stops in 16,01 min. Can close the app and need to restart the box to get control to play again. Only solution is to move ahead of such time point before it comes to play.
No issues if you play the file in a windows PC.

We watched our first two movies after upgrading to this lasted firmware. During the course of the two movies they totally froze 3 times. I backed out and tried to restart and get an error that it can't find the video file. A restart of the box and we were able to resume. I was playing them from the internal drive. After the 3rd freeze, I resumed the 2nd movie from my NAS via the SMB share and had no problems. Has anyone else had problems with their internal drive after the upgrade? This has never happened before. I'm going to take the drive out and check it for bad sectors today. I'm using an UHD 5000.

I’m facing the same issue from my NAS as earlier reported.

Well, mine is not reproducible at the same spots. It's like the internal drive intermittently goes offline.

I'm pretty sure my issue is fixed. I remembered I had changed the setting for the HDD to sleep from off to every hour. When I turn it off again the issue has not happened tonight.

Just received a z9x pro, great picture quality but I have a view questions.

First, is it possible in HT to have a fallback language?
Now I have so many series and episodes without a plot.
If scraper finds dutch its ok, when there is no dutch plot
    it should fallback to english.

Second , is it possible to mount my nas to Android (like the shield)
    for the fastest transfer speed.

Finally hoe can i acces the zidoo throug Windows 11?
I turned smb server on with password but \\IP adres always
    returns with error.

    Thanks in advance

Another problem. We tried watching Wyatt Earp from 1994 tonight. It played fine until my girlfriend had to go to the ladies room. When she returned and I resumed, it just played jerky. Pausing and resuming did not fix it like it used to. I even restarted the player and no luck. I noticed the new 8k boxes have this issue with VC-1 codecs. I checked the movie and sure enough, it uses a VC-1 codec. @mirror, please take note this issue affects the UHD-5000 players too. Thanks.

Update: I was able to reproduce on another mkv that uses the same codec. So it's definitely the VC-1. But you actually have to exit and resume the movie. Just pressing pause and then resume won't reproduce the issue.

I also see this from time to time, exactly as you describe on my z2000 pro

Well, I spoke too soon. When I took the hard drive out to check it for errors I put it back in the other slot and it started working so I thought the HDD setting fixed it. However, I just bought another drive today for TV shows and put it back in the original slot where the freezes were happening. During a 45 minute episode it froze 4 times. What can I do to try and figure out what's going on? @Markswift2003 can you offer any suggestions please?

The most baffling thing to me is that restarting the player won't correct it.

It seems a reported bug and maybe fixed in next firmware. It will happen randomly.

I’ve been talking about this since the day I got my unit which I think had 1.0.52. At this point, I don’t think it’s ever getting fixed.

It can be difficult to reproduce. At least in the latest firmware it happens rarely at least for me, and I play VC1 encoded blu ray remux’s packaged as mkv files all the time

It just started happening to me after upgrading to .95. when I was on .75 I was playing the same VC-1 encoded mkv's and it was smooth as butter. It's odd how behavior can be a bit different from box to box. That must make it difficult on the devs.

I noticed earlier in the thread some folks had the same issue with the 2nd hard drive not being recognized. They flashed and installed .75 and all was good. I did that tonight and the VC-1 decoding issue works. However, the 2nd hard drive went offline again while I was copying TV shows to it. I'm really disappointed at this point. I'm thinking my box may be defective.

As earlier reported, there is some issues with external un-powered HDD units. I'm using a powered USB hub (2xSATA and 2xHDD) with no issues at all.

Just as another data point, I don’t use any hard drives with my unit. Everything is streamed from my NAS via SMB

Thank you for your input. My issue is related to my second internal HDD slot not working. First I saw the issue was with firmware v1.0.95. I saw others having the same problem and they downgraded to v1.0.75 and it started working for them again. I did the same last night but my second internal slot is still not working. The drive checks out without any errors. It's a 16tb drive formatted as NTFS. If you have any ideas for me to try, please advise.
