New beta version v1.0.95 for Z9X PRO/Z20 PRO/Z2000 PRO/Z2600/UHD5000 release

If you don't have HDMI/ARC port on BenQ projector then you can use this splitter:

Spacetronik SPH-RAE04 4K 4/1 HDMI audio deembedder/extractor - quite cheap, approx 55$ or 50Eur excluding shipment.
It has a dadicated Audio hdmi out...

 

The Z20pro is my first zidoo device,

Is firmware support stopped on older devices when the new ones are released?

 

Will I be getting same quality output with HDMI splitter as the original ARC enable TV?

Also Can I connect Zidoo HDMI out to Soundbar HDMI-In and then HDMI eARC of soundbar to the projector in order to avoid HDMI spiltter? (Sound bar has 2 HDMI-in port and one HDMI eARC)

Just connect Zidoo to the input!!!! Jeez.

 

that's the way you are supposed to do it in the first place. no splitters or extractors required.

I have updated my UHD5000 with the v1.0.95 Firmware OTA, and I am very pleased with the upgrade.

Just a word to report a bug with the subtitles position parameter :
Whenever I pause/stop a video and resume it, the subtitles are back in position zero all by themselves (bottom of the image)... and i have to position them again.

Hello @Markswift2003. I am using Z9X pro and I observed following behaviour: I set the player resolution to 3840@23Hz and set Lock to On. My Zidoo is allways On. I never put it into standby. The problem now is that sometimes the resolution settings are set back to default 3840@60Hz.

Probably an EDID problem because if you leave the Zidoo on with the TV/amp off, the Zidoo has no EDID.

Try downloading the EDID and then upload to the Zidoo and use it as a custom EDID - that way the EDID is always available.

My Zidoo is on 24/7 but it's connected to an HDFury so the EDID is always available.

after updating the firmware on my Zidoo 9X Pro to version 1.0.95_G, I have encountered the issue with MKV files that include a Dolby Atmos audio track again. During playback, the video stutters unexpectedly.
Pressing the pause button briefly and resuming playback temporarily resolves the problem, but this is becoming quite frustrating as I have to do this multiple times throughout a movie.

I did not experience this issue with the previous firmware version 1.0.75_g.
How can i roll back to this Version?

You have to flash your player then update it to your desired version.

Everything turned out well, I’m back to version 1.0.75. Is there a way to install Home Theater 5.0?

 

So did zidoo drop any updates for this device since the new devices came? We got plenty of things to be fixed....

 

tbh for me it seems like the z9x Pro is an unloved child so they came up with a successor quite fast - it is my first and probably will be my last zidoo device, experience overall wasn't very satisfying...

Thanks for the link and your support. Unfortunately, no matter what I try, I only get a Microsoft OneDrive login page when accessing the link. Even the suggestion to “close the tab and click the OneDrive link again” doesn’t change anything—Firefox still only opens the login window.


I’d appreciate any other tips you might have!

Thank you for recreating the OneDrive links!
Now my version of Firefox prevented the download from starting , but with Pale Moon, I was able to access everything without any issues.
I Hope I can try it out over the weekend to see if the issue might be related to the HT 5.0
