Could it be that 200 ms is too little?

 

@TomBa During your testing, do you remember if all Plex content need to be controlled via Eversolo app, or we can just use Plex app or Plexamp App to control or cast the music to play on Eversolo?

@N00brx honestly I only installed plex but haven’t tested as didn’t found time. And yesterday the same beta was installed on my DMP where plex is not included. I just reached out to the dev team for some answers.

 

They now wait for Amazons confirmation and will release both at the same time

 

Will integrate it natively in new firmware.

Eversolo Control app 1.11.08 dated 10 Oct 2023 is in the Android Play Store now.

 

For DSD support should mapping local path. And you can selecting music from Control APP. No casting support.

No, it's actually too much.
I understand you need to suppress pops and clicks when switching between data streams, but within a certain type of data stream there should not be the need for it.
My external DAC has to switch too, f.i. switching from DSD to PCM, but within DSD or PCM I can switch from track to track or from sample rate to sample rate with no pops & clicks and perfect start from any given track. My hunch is that the Eversolo has to lock to a given data stream each time you select a new track, but loses its lock when you switch between tracks.

 

Hey now Plex and Emby choices indeed pop up under Main => Streaming Services => Music Cloud Drivers. I am pretty sure they did not do that yesterday?

PS: I have 3 Plex servers - shouldn't it ask which one to pick as the default one (it usually does in order to customize the Plex home screen)

 

FYI: If you un-authorize the device from Plex,
you get this:

and no way to try again for a new authorization (aka login)

Edit: factory reset fixed it, so I logged in again, and got the same service access error as above, again.

 

Just added the original plex apk to test - it works, so it's not something in my setup

 

Well I gave the beta a try and noticed on the main screen now on my tablet under "Music" all my music files on my network are in Alphabetical order , where before you got to about Letter "K" and then the missed artists with "E" and above would continue.
They are all there now and the scrolling doesn't jump. But if I go to the Cast option and go to my music folder, it still acts strangely as slowly scrolling, then it jumps back to beginning or goes up a whole series of artists, so that still needs work.
Amazon music is still not correct..I take say a Jazz playlist of 20 song in ULTRAHD and maybe 3-4 will play in that mode, the rest on HD quality.
I have a plex server on our network, I went to the new plex ap, then it gave me the 4 letters to put it, did that on our PC and chose my login. But when I open the Ap in the DMP A-6 the plex orange circle just goes around and around.
Just installing the updated Ap on my Tablet from the play store..we'll see if that helps the plex issue.

For multiple updates to work also the updated Eversolo Controller is clearly needed as reflected by the the change log.
The Google Playstore is not updated! One needs to go to the Eversolo site (not Eversolo on the Zidoo site) and get it manually there.
Next one needs to ignore the version info on the download page as it is neither updated.
But doing all that it next downloads and installs the correct v1.11.08 version.

Reported it yesterday to Eversolo so they took care of it. Good to know.

9) With some albums I still do get " No playback content" on my Android Eversolo Controller. It plays and shows up normal on the Front Panel.

 

Yesterday I updated the Android app from the eversolo page.

In the playlists on both Tidal and Qobuz, which is what I use, the songs did not appear, at least before they did, even if they were out of order. Does it happen to you too?

Or could it be that I haven't updated the eversolo DMP-A6 and I need to do it too?

 

My guess is both need to be updated synchronized to avoid side effects.

 

When I do the above with linking the native plexapp all I get afterwards is a screen that says: Plex media access failed, please check the service network configuration.
With the Plex and plexamp apk it works.
