I would advise sticking with V1.1.80 for the DMP-A6 until a final update has been released. V1.2.05 beta currently has a lot of bugs which need to be rectified.
I jumped the gun and installed the latest beta version and now regret doing it. :( More trouble than it's worth.

Really should be an option to rollback to previous firmwares in situations such as this.

Hopefully that could be implemented in the future once all other issues are fixed.

    Hello

I tried Emby (BETA) with a Jellyfin server (Emby fork), everything works except the "album content" view.

    I can show albums:

    I can show tracks:

    I can listen tracks:

But, I can't show album content and "Play all" says "No file":

I am running alpha FW v.1.207.

Based on beta FW v1.205, I was in contact with Zidoo.Bob for a couple of days and he did a marvelous job:

    • The issue of not playing tracks from the very start is completely gone now:
FLAC, DSD/DSF and streaming files all play the way they should.

Many, many thanks to Zidoo.bob and his colleagues!!

I am happy with this alpha version, but, as always, install at your own risk!

your 1.2.08 is newer than 1.2.07, so it presumably includes the fix @eric1403 is talking about...

I second that ! Plex works properly as well now.
The guys are working almost 24/7 to make things as good as possible - kudos!

As for the alpha/beta, yes, install at your own risk!
While stable, they are not finalized.

There was also a fix for the VU meters: they now behave a little less "hysterical", as the 0 dB mark on real VU meters is at the end of the black part of the scale and not at the end of the red part of the scale.

Re: eric1403’s post. I add my appreciation to the help-desk crew. Eki couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful concerning ripping. We never fixed the problem, but we failed nicely!:) Having, had to negotiate the customer service vacuum of Samsung & LG over the years:mad:, it’s a very pleasant change to be dealing with people who are really trying to help us whiny types who obsess over our first-world micro-problems.

I SO agree, in my case it was and is a great way of talking and working with Zidoo.Bob. They are really putting in the effort to make the A6 an even better device. And it is nice to know that you, as a user, can help a little bit with that process...

    lol

I posted a couple of images of how they should be - I guess if they find time they might correct that
Also, the new spectrum analyzer goes from 50Hz-20kHz. I hope it gets extended to 20Hz-20kHz :)

    Installed 1.2.10. Reporting my findings:
    1. If I listen to a tidal playlist I created and wait 3-4 seconds of playback from every song and move to the next one using the next button I still get tracks that do not start right at the beginning. The playlist url is: https://tidal.com/playlist/d0a15107-6fae-4ddf-969d-e3d273c692d3
    2. The custom url internet stations now display the bitrate correctly so a flac stream is a flac stream instead of 320kbs. That’s a good thing. The bad thing is that when you favorite a few stations from this list of custom url stations the order in the favorites tab is the order you have added them in the custom url tab. This behavior has changed from the previous version where the favorites would be added in the order you added the favorites. I prefer the previous behavior or the possibility to order them.
    3. The VU meters and the spectrum are out of sync with the music. They’ve always been even on the official version. I don’t know if this can be fixed or if there are plans to fix this.
    4. Plex fails to login or if it does it shows a message that it can’t retrieve the plex data. I don’t really need Plex so this isn’t a real issue for me.

If I find anything else I’ll post here. Thank you to the Eversolo team for the quick beta updates.
