All mkv over lan my z9x is playing normally

 

Would you say .60 is better than prior version too?

 

Well, if you have done an actual factory reset and that didn't fix it... then I think your options are pretty limited.... like a flash to image and downgrade the firmware.. very weird though... what happens when you play files using Media Center? Is it isolated to HT4?

 

Ther is no 60 for the z1000pro

 

im having ZERO issues with this latest version ,but i never use HT

you say lans ok but you need to prove it isnt lan issues first

ie play the mkvs on a usb3 HDD on one of the 2 usb3 (blue) ports
plenty of things can cause lan to have issues
usually for me its my PC sitting there for weeks not turned offf or sreset and a win 10 update has loaded in and not yet been installed .That for me can slow my giga lan port down to 100 ....ie speeds drop to 10-15 M/s way too slow for a 4k movie

you can also test it by opening browser on Zidoo and going to an ADSL speedtest site
When its all good my Z9X will hit my expected 300 fibre speeds ie 30-34M/s

better to prove lan side first before going to rollback stages

 

My z9x runs good only the zidoo z1000 pro is doing dis

 

still worth Proving lan to Z1000 is working correctly simply by ,as above, testing one of the crashing MKVs directly via usb3 HDD

ie something as simple as a lan cable not fully plugged in dropping speeds

 

But it plays iso just fine no problems only mkv

MKV is usually the stabler one to play UNLESS as i said earlier ,its a badly made or corrupted during transfer (ie was plently of bad mkvs going around causing crashes for members 6 months a yr back ,and from experience atm im having issues with Mega downloads corrupting files as are others on forum im on

 

Yes in a huge way in that it fixed the hdr of movies via menus.

 

Just hope a better working firmware is coming fast

 

I take it that maybe no improvements for MKV users...

 

Were not seeing any other Z1000 users posting the MKVs crashing them after a couple mins ,or any other users , so possibly you got corruption during install of latest f/w

So roll back or wait til next f/w probably

 

beware though, it's less reactive, with latency when the remote is pressed. It takes longer to load the HT home page (3 or 4 second vs. 1 or 2 second with the .42).
We still feel a lack of stability...
However, I downgraded to version 42 and then updated to version .60. I scraped all my videos again, and at times it feels like it's going to crash....

 

I am thankfully not seeing any issues with .60 for the little time I used it. Did you do a hard reboot after the install?

it's strange that I have this problem and you don't.... Nevertheless:
1- my database was redone from 0 with the fw .42: HT4 is fast
2- my database was redone from 0 with the fw .60: HT4 is slower
Both tests were under the same conditions and I only have 2 HDD of 4TB plugged in Usb3

 

Morning! and its very possible I just havent noticed the latency in the FW. .42 was def. snappier but I really need the correct HDR via Disc Menus so I will stick with .60 for now. Maybe, the future FWs will fix things, we shall wait and see. I dont expect another new FW to show for 3-4 months at least though.

 

Are all your files mkv or do you also have full disc rips?

3-4 months sounds about right.
