I'm testing it. I don't know if it's just a placebo effect, but it seems to me that it sounds better. I don't use any EQ. Just after the update. Still my Android Samsung tablet refuses to work in landscape format.

But the Tidal app plays much quieter. and it is still not possible to play similar songs after opening the artist's album, as in the Tidal app for Android.

 

Will this BETA version be pushed to those who didnot update to the ALPHA version? And does the beta version still have this christmas theme?

And the Xmas theme took some time to load (after choosing ‘About’), so I think it might be possible for them to make it ‘time sensitive’, so it can be turned on/off depending on date/time…

After I installed the BETA, DMP-A6 plays DSD512 Native into the Chord Qutest via USB. Amazing. Many thanks! The source page doesn't show DSD support but it does per DSD track.
Before it would only play D2P and be iffy on DOP.

I'm still hoping for an option to turn off the scree saver completely. Did not have a chance to try EQ yet but very very cool update.
