Hi, I installed the 1.2.40_BETA on my DMP-A6ME. Primarily I wanted to connect to my LMS as I have over 200 playlists on that system!

It was a disaster- the streamer 'cycles' between the 'Home Screen' & then goes blank, and then the Home Screen reappears- this goes on continuously.

I have connected to the LMS with no problem, but if I play a song, the cycling adds the Song Details screen, but the damn thing keeps cycling & the music is interrupted like a scratched record.

I followed the instructions to the letter, but now the DMP-A6ME is unusable. So much for this BETA version being 'stable'.

Has this happened to anyone else? or is mine an outlier?

Is there a fix, or do I have to wait for the finished Release to be uploaded? Will that fix the issue?

which LMS version did you use?

 

I use Logitech Media Server Version: 8.3.1

Also, if I turn the DMP-6AEM screen off, then the cycling stops, and I can use the LMS, but the last 10 seconds of each song is cut-off. Turn the screen back on, and that cycle starts again.

One of the main reasons I bought the Eversolo was the fantastic screen. Sad to have it turned off :-(

 

I've never had a problem using LMS, also Markswift2003. It's hard for me to understand your question literally. Can you make a video for me?
You can also try a factory reset

 

Ok, I've done a Factory Reset, and the DMP is scanning the internal 4TB drive. It takes a while to scan everything.

I'll report back ASAP.

Its worked!!!

Woop Woop. doing the Factory Reset worked- now playing beautifully. No more recycling glitches etc.

LMS works great, and the sound from the DPM-6AME is way better than my old Logitech Transporter (15+ years old, bought second-hand) plugged into a McIntosh D100 DAC (10+ years old, bought new at a discount due to the D150 being launched).

Ill try the DPM-6AME into the McIntosh D100 DAC one day, but I suspect the internal DAC on the DPM-6AME is way better than a 10 year+ old design.

I have noticed several times that it shows the wrong title/artwork. It has happened when I play a list, and instead of playing the next song on the list I decide to play another one. It plays this one, but shows the title/artwork of the one that was next before this change

this is a weird question...
It certainly can be done at SW level; but can you describe your scenario / usage, as to achieve this your quickest option is to cast audio to a MONO bluetooth speaker...

 

Maybe someone likes to listen to mono.
Mono is also useful when you want to determine the middle of the sound (perhaps the speakers are not set up correctly) or if one speaker is more forward/backward compared to the other... mono sound is useful...

I just did upgrade to the beta version 1.2.40 everything went fine but, i noticed a new little window when I play songs without MQA - the little "Gain: -10.52dB
i just did a test with the song Lift Me Up by Rihanna and i can turn it all the way up to -10db (i use the DMP A6 ME for volume control also) and it's not as loud as what it was with the last official update which I ofc can't remember.
The next thing i tried was to use Spotify Connect with the same song but the streaming quality from Spotify should be way worse but guess what at -10dB it was wayyyy louder than from Tidal MAX-FLAC

EQ and everything was off with both playbacks
have some others seen that pop up or know if it's a setting from somewhere?

disable "ReplayGain source mode" in the general settings and your little window is gone.

For speaker alignment you can just construct a track yourself, with any audio editor (maybe I can also find the command for ffmpeg if you can use it), anyway, this will be useful only for positioning the speakers / yourself in the arena...
For listening in mono, actually this needs to be an option of the player itself, so I hope for you the devs listen... ;-)

 

How does the LMS Connection Work-Can I hook up wirelessly, or do I plug my Allo device in to the router, and the DMP A-6 sees it?
