    Hello! I have an issue to report. Recently bought A8 streamer and I can't play hi res tracks from both Apple Music and Tidal - they are freezing and playing is interrupting. Under hi-res I mean 24/96 and 24/192 tracks. I have 500Mbs fiber optic broadband connection and it is very fast, so no issues with internet speed. Moreover, I did some testing and research, so I played same tracks on my iPad with Apple Music and Tidal apps and everything worked fine. No issues, no freezes. My A8 streamer connected to the router using LAN CAT6 cable, I thought the cable might be damaged and I replaced it with another one, but same issue again. So then I decided to connect A8 to the router using 5G Wi-fi and again freezes. So, I decided to check traffic in real time. I opened my Asus router traffic analyzer and played hi res tracks from Eversolo A8, straight I found that there is almost ZERO traffic while playing hi res tracks from Tidal and Apple Music. I switched to my ipad and played the same hi res tracks and traffic analyzer showed huge traffic like 50-60mbps. So there is deffinitely an issue with hi res implementation on Eversolo streamers. I found the same thread on A6 forum. Can you please look into this. I am so dissapointed to buy such a wonderfull streamer for streaming hi res tracks and not able now to do so.

    Another bug that I would like to report is to do with the control app. If often does not load internal player and current cue. Also, volume slider amd numbers for volume on the internal player screen are not moving/changing sometimes.

    I’m not having problems playing high res on an A6 version 2. I do note, however, that on my ASUS router it also shows 0 for amount of data being sent to the eversolo, even though that is obviously wrong. I also have an ASUS mesh router, which I get 1 gig service from RCN on, and connect to it via wifi (using 2.4 band for the eversolo) The only other thing I’d suggest is rebooting the router, but since I have no idea what is going wrong, I don’t know what the likelihood of it fixing it would be.

    Well, I see a big traffic while playing 16/44 tracks. But once I switched to 24/192 traffic stops and playing freezes. Again, I have no issues playing same 24/192 tracks on my iphone or ipad for both Apple music and Tidal. Something wrong with Eversolo firmware. I hope so! If this is FW issue, then it can be solved. I hope this is not the hardware, like weak ethernet chip, that is not able to handle huge traffic while streaming hi res.

    Yes, but I bought the unit in UK and took it overseas where I work now, so return is not easy and may be too late. Plus, I don't want to return, as all other futures working just fine. I would like Eversolo team to look into this issue, since it is not only with my unit.

    Oh ok, I must have missed it but didn't see others having the same issue. What is your output Digital or Analog?

    I use analog balanced output directly to my power amplifier. So A8 working as a streamer, DAC and pre-amplifier.

    Can you try RCA just for kicks if Amp has those inputs?

    Yes, I can try, amp has unbalanced RCA inputs. Just don't get how this is related to hi res streaming issues. I should have mentioned that I have no issues playing hi res tracks including DSD 256 from Synology NAS or from connected external USB stick. The issue is only with hi res streaming using A8 native streaming apps

    Do you have Tidal Connect you can test outside of the Eversolo App?

    I have tidal and apple music installed on my iPhone and iPad and no issues playing hires tracks from both AM and Tidal , even through wi fi connection .

    So if you launch tidal within the Eversolo control app do you have the same problem?

    I have problem when running Tidal and apple music on the A8 unit.

    ok, I currently have A6 Gen2 and don't have the issue running Tidal from the control app. Confirmed 192/24 music.
    Are others in the A8 forum seeing the same issue?

    No one responded in the A8 topic, however, I found this report in the A6 topic - https://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?th...w-seconds-on-highres-very-annoying-bug.97535/ So, some people in this thread reported having similar issues on A8 as well. Have a look at the first page.
    Also, there are similar reports on Reddit.

    Nothing here on the forum, but I sent them email just today. I hope they will fix it. I will make a short video of that issue and post it here.

    I don’t think that thread is the same problem. That seems to be a lan stability problem for that user.

    There is no chance you have bandwidth restricted on the router? ASUS allows you to do that.

    Nothing to do with LAN for that user, here is his statement - "I made trial subscriptions to Qobuz and HIGHRESAUDIO and found that the highres audition works very well here."
    So he had issue with Tidal only, but I have with Tidal and Apple Music.

    No, I have checked many times, no restrictions. Also, I have connected A8 to Asus using Wi-fi, because initially I thought that something is wrong with my LAN ports on router. But that didn't help. Then I brought my MacBook and connected to the same LAN cable with I used for A8, checked LAN speed and it was gigabit stable connection with no packet loss. Finally, yesterday I asked my friend to bring his Aurender N100 to my house, we have connected Aurender to the same LAN and I played same hires tracks from Tidal and no issues at all! That was my last check and proof that something wrong with A8 itself.

    Hi,
    I was a bit unclear. My apologies. The Asus router allows you to put bandwidth restrictions on per device. It’s unlikely you did this without knowing, but if you go into the app (or the web interface), and pull up the eversolo under devices, there is a tab to put bandwidth restrictions on just for the Eversolo (or any other device you restrict individual y) . If there is a restriction just on the Eversolo, it would explain why all other devices work fine.

    If that is not the case, I’d guess you have a hardware issues, since I’m not seeing anyone else report the problem
